If you are a camping or backpacking enthusiast, don't leave home without the Black Diamond Titan LED Lantern. In addition to a portable, collapsible design, it offers a maximum output of 250 lumens. The QuadPower LED together with a dual reflector system and a frosted globe allow the lantern to produce bright ambient and non-glaring light to satisfy your outdoor lighting needs. The dimming switch allows the output to be set at any point through the 10-250 lumen range to provide the amount of light you need for sorting gear, cooking meals, or playing board games and cards. Its matte black plastic housing is collapsible for easier packing and hauling, and the double-hook loop lets you hang it easily. The lantern runs on four user-supplied D-cell batteries and is compatible with the optional Black Diamond NRG rechargeable battery kit. For convenience, the lantern also features a charger port for recharging the optional battery kit.

    Black Diamond BD620703DKCHALL1 reviews

Titan Lantern (250 Lumens, Matte Black) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from I does put out light which is a good thing I bought this on the DealZone. Likely an impulse kinda thing. I own one of the smaller backpacking Black Diamond lanterns. Pros on the Titan: it puts out light and is very convenient and easy to use. It appears to be really well built. The Cons are that it does not appear to work perfectly with rechargeable batteries. It works with them but always seems like the power is to low. The light is somewhat hard in quality and spreads out horizontally flagging the up/down a great degree. I should be more forgiving after all it is a lantern. Last the color balance is way to cold for me. I didn't measure it but would imagine around 6500-7000K or cooler. So sitting around the campfire you have this bright cold light to augment the wonderful 2200 light from the fire. I wish it was warmer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Titan Lantern sold by B&H Seems to be good product. Like the design and simplicity of use. Like the split handle for hanging. Like 2 illumination levels. One nit pick is that it's a little difficult to the battery holder exposed. According to the manufacturer, the led light should last almost indefinitely and good thing because I was told it is not replaceable part. The estimated time for lasting is for the batteries. One very big issue is with B&H. There was nothing in product offer that indicated the product is discontinued. That is not cool, B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool Little Light This came as a freebie with another purchase I made with B&H - probably wouldn't have bought it if I had just seen it on the internet...BUT, I'm an RVer and an astronomer (spent all last summer as a resident astronomer for the National Park Service in Badlands National Park in SD) and I have already found several uses for this around the RV - and of course, a handy light when the power goes out in a thunderstorm or something. It folds down to about half it function size for travel - probably a little too big for backpacker campers (they make smaller, similar lights) but in the RV it doesn't take that much space and I've hung it outside (cool hanger, by the way!) and set it on the table when I'm grilling out at night - altogether a pretty handy light!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Lantern for the Price I paid There has been a flood of LED lanterns on the market today. This is an older model and while it is very well made it is not the brightest (per ratings). BUT, it is very bright and VERY well made. I have had no experience with this type of lantern. This is my first one. I give it a 4 because there are some interesting features on some of the other models. A few of them are waterproof, which after the fact is a feature I would really like to have as I plan to take this on my kayak with me for evenings when I go a little to far...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A camp light with a future. I got one of these because my son brought one with him a few years ago and worked so well and the price was right. Like the overall glow it gives to a campsite at night, distributes the light over a large area and is very even in intensity. The double hanger loop attached to the top of the light makes it easy to attach and unattach to the clothes line we have strung over our camp site. Batteries seem to last a long time, 4 d cells are required. I like the dimming feature, all you do is push and hold the on off button and it dimes slowly and you take your finger away when the right amount of brightness is reached, push it again and it goes off. It folds down to a manageable size for storage, this is not for backpacking as it weights a lot cause of the 4 D batteries required. It has three rubber ribs at the bottom of the light housing to allow it to sit firmly on the picnic table or any flat surface. I believe it is LED and should last a long long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good buy! Bought for emergency use, so hopefully won't use much. Bright enough, but light distribution not perfect. But, if the power goes out, I'll be able to read. Run times are excellent(about 1 week on low). Price I paid was unbeatable! If I need another lantern, this will be top of the list.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for night shoot or camping More convenient than a flashlight when you're getting your gear ready for night photography. Nice spread of light for camping, will illuminate table area and more. Low setting easily lasts 2 nights. Might be too big for backpacking. Worked well with Watson rechargeables.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Titan Lantern - 250 lumens The light is bright enough for a small room. It is small and compact. However if you carry the light or hang it up there is a large shadow under the lantern where you really need the light. This is not good. I would not buy another one with this design.
