The Wooden Camera ARRI ALEXA Mini Accessory Kit (Base) is a professional camera support package that includes the Quick Cage with 15mm Lightweight Baseplate, NATO Handle Kit, Battery Slide, and a pair of 6-inch 15mm Iris Rods.
The Quick Cage is a form-fitting cage for the ARRI ALEXA Mini. It attaches to the camera with the help of four M4 screws on top and four M4 screws on the bottom, making it extremely secure. The M4 hole pattern found on the camera body is present on the cage top plate. This allows for attachment of ARRI brand handles and accessories. Arrays of 1/4"-20 holes in standard spacing and multiple 3/8"-16 holes are available for large accessories. The cage side pieces feature NATO standard accessory rails with spring-loaded safety pins on each end to prevent accidental removal. Clamped to the side rails are two NATO rosettes that adapt an ARRI standard rosette to a quick release NATO rail. The included 15mm lightweight baseplate can attach to any tripod plate or ARRI standard bridge plate.
The NATO Handle Kit consists of a quick release top handle and 3.9" NATO rail. It offers a variety of mounting points for attaching viewfinders, focus motors, lights, shock mounts, and other accessories. The handle features a sideways 15mm rod port, 15mm rod opening in front, 19mm rod opening in the rear, shoe mount, and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads all around. The sideways 15mm rod port is ideal for attaching Wooden Camera's UVF Mount or other viewfinder mounts. Two 1/4"-20 socket screws are included for binding rods in the front and rear rod openings.
The Battery Slide is an adjustable mounting system for V-Mount and Gold Mount battery plates. Applying firm pressure tilts the plate in place. Loosen the thumbscrew to slide the plate up and down and also tilt. This slide is good for adjusting counterbalance and for transitioning from studio to handheld mode.
The 15mm Iris Rods are used for mounting accessories including follow focus systems, matte boxes, lens supports, servo motors, etc. These 6" aluminum rods are thick-walled and feature a hard anodized finish.
