AAXA Technologies P700 overview

  • 1Description

Take your presentations on the go with the AAXA Technologies P700 650-Lumen WXGA Pico Projector. When plugged in, its 650 lumens of brightness can produce images up to 150" diagonal in low-light conditions, and its 2000:1 contrast ratio will enhance dark areas of the image. The built-in LEDs have an operating life of approximately 15,000 hours and enable the projector to power on and off quickly.

The P700 has two 1W speakers built-in to eliminate the need for external speakers, further simplifying its ease of transport. It also has an onboard HDMI port, microSD slot, and USB reader for added convenience. The projector includes a tabletop tripod, VGA and AV cables, and a remote control.

All-In-One Mobility Device
At the heart of this diminutive system is an optical engine that delivers 150" projections when plugged in and 80" projections when on battery power. Coupled to this engine is a multimedia player able to view pictures and videos. When an external data source is necessary, an array of inputs are available, including HDMI, composite, and VGA. With its onboard battery and quick-start LEDs, business professionals can easily and quickly deliver a group presentation without needing to fumble with cables, external devices, or crowding around a notebook or tablet.
Native Resolution of 1280x800
The P700 is powered by a DLP HD resolution imager that delivers a 1280 x 800 native resolution in a compact package. The P700 is designed to deliver HD content anytime, anywhere.
All-In-One Media Player
A media player is built into the P700, letting users share high resolution videos, pictures, and other digital media with family and friends - anytime, anywhere. Combined with the built-in 70 minute battery, the P700 LED Pico projector can be a true mobile projection solution without the need for cables, adapters, or other devices.
Compatible with Gaming Consoles
The P700 delivers a 1280 x 800 HD experience, allowing gamers to produce an immersive gaming environment by converting an entire wall, up to 150" diagonal, to be part of the gaming experience. With HDMI, RCA, and VGA connectivity, the P700 connects to most gaming consoles and devices.
Long Operation Life and Quick On & Off
Long warm-up and cool down times, sometimes for several minutes, are required for projectors using traditional lamps. The LED light source enables the P700 to achieve full brightness within seconds, and it turns off instantly as well.
Onboard Lithium-Ion Battery
The P700 incorporates a 70-minute lithium ion battery able to withstand multiple charge cycles with little capacity reduction. The onboard lithium-ion battery enables anytime, anywhere projection.
Versatile Multimedia Support
Onboard media player supports popular file formats, allowing you to share movies, videos, and photos with friends and family. Enjoy gaming and entertainment without large TVs. Compatible with iPhone 5/6 and iPad with Apple Digital AV adapter. Also compatible with Samsung Galaxy & Note with MHL adapter, and with other Android devices with a SlimPort adapter.
Environmentally Friendly
The LED is 100% free of mercury and, as the bulb never needs to be replaced, there are no discarded bulbs.

    AAXA Technologies P700 reviews

P700 650-Lumen WXGA Pico Projector is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hopefully just a lemon -- TERRIBLE fan noise/vibration I can't imagine this would be a best seller if the product that I encountered is the same one that most people receive, but mine was a real lemon. Unimaginable fan noise--sounded as though it were about to explode. Image quality good, connection relatively easy. Sometimes (seemed to) power on by itself after being powered down--weird. Would have a difficult time recommending. Hope others have had better experiences.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent performance in a tiny package Our company purchased this to bring with us on occasions when we have to make a sales presentation, but aren't sure what the A/V options would be in the prospect's office. (If there's already a projector there, great; if not, we can just pull out the P700.) This little unit is about one-fifth the size & weight of our dedicated conference-room projector (which is an old Optoma MovieTime), yet the throw seems nearly identical to the bigger unit. Picture quality, however, is NOT up to the level of the big Optoma, although for typical PowerPoint use, it's certainly adequate, and there are several picture adjustments available through the menu. Image is nice & bright when on AC power, though dims noticeably when using the battery. One point to note: we were hoping to store JPEGs on the memory card and click through them during presentations. Unfortunately (unless we're missing something), the unit seems to default to an automated slideshow presentation of JPEGs with random, 8-bit-style transitions. You can adjust the timing between images, but you cannot simply advance through the screens with the remote's forward arrow; it appears that you have to bring up an onscreen play bar each time. One other reviewer noted the fan noise, and while it is definitely louder than one might expect, we did not find it distracting. Final thought: the unit comes with no case, so we bought a padded zippered case designed for tablet devices & it works great. All in all, we're generally pleased so far. Unit seems well made (hopefully it will last); it has nice on-board memory & battery options, but gets a B on picture quality & controls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way Beyond Expectations I was told by two friends that had each bought one of these rigs that it was great. I need to see to believe. I purchased one (after waiting 10 days for it to be back in stock at B & H). After arrival, I set it up and was totally blown away by the brightness, the color and the simplicity of which it took to setup and use etc... I purchased it as a 'second' screen setup to my Optoma 160-S Pro (to use as a satellite screen halfway back in the room etc...). Yes, the Optomoa has much more lumens then this rig. BUT - by using this new Aaxa P700 on a tabletop size screen (Epson 50 diagonal), it was equally if not brighter versus the Optomoa. Not knocking the Optoma - great piece. But knowing what I know and having had lots of experience in the multimedia field, I know that if I purchased a second Aaxa P700 and screen, I could accomplish in a much simpler way what I would using the Optoma with a big screen (setup) and the simpler, smaller, lighter Aaxa P700. Sooooooo - after the Aaxa P700 came back in stock (second time around - I guess they are pretty popular units), I purchased same. Life is now much better and easier carrying around in slightly larger computer case, a small camera bag (both Aaxa units fit into the camera bag plus cables and accessories) and then the two lightweight (about 4 lbs each) Epson table top 50 diagonal screens, I'm a much happier camper and accomplishing everything I did with the bigger, bulkier Optima unit and larger screen. And as if I haven't rambled enough LOL - the Aaxa P700's both mount on a tripod mount ... or in my case, on top of a tripod base microphone stand with a $ adapter I purchased from B & H as well. Very slick! Very compact - the fact that these small projectors are mounted this way equal virtually no blockage to the line of sight from the audience. I just can not say enough god about these Aaxa P700's. Highly recommended. And if it matters, yours truly is a pro photographer that travels around with my fine art photography doing shows. Within this shows is the multimedia presentations of my work. Translated, I'm a real meticulous fussy son of a gun when it comes to pictures quality as I need my imagery to show up perfect on screen. These rigs do it!Sooooooo - buy it! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this projector! Very bright picture, easy to use, easy to connect, overall very good product! I love that I have the option to use this in battery power as it makes my life a lot easier not have to carry around cables or cords to operate the projector. I very much recommend this product to anyone looking for a good pico projector as I'm very satisfied with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great projector Yes, the fan MAY be a bit loud for some but this does not diminish the fact that this projector is small, bright, amazing and it blew me away! The input options and media player also make it extremely easy to use and I do recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from VERY LOUD FAN Good picture quality, but the fan is very loud -- like a hairdryer set on low, no, exageration. I would bump it up to four stars, but again...the fan is loud, very distracting.
