Time to transfer files from a UHS-II card through a USB 3 port into a computer was slashed ten times compared with a plain vanilla card and reader.

Not really much to say that hasn’t been said yet. Very fast and works every time. I compared the speed to a generic generic SD reader - generic took 7 minutes 30 seconds; this one took less than 90 seconds. I’ve been truly getting the cards’ advertised speeds. I also own the comparable CF reader. I’ve owned it for several years now. Not a single issue and as fast as the cards themselves are advertised to be.

I got this as a second bay for the WORKFLOW PRO HUB so that I could offload both my SD cards at the same time. Works exactly as expected with easy plug and play on the SD cards.

Title vs. Specs is confusing. Title says it is a UHS-II reader. Specs just says UHS-I. So is it natively UHS-II or just UHS-II compatible (not the same thing) or neither?
Asked by: Tim
It's a UHS-II rated Card Reader that is backwards compatible with UHS-I Cards. I also have the older SR1 UHS-I reader that is forward compatible with UHS-II cards but doesn't have the extra pin contacts to facilitate the faster protocol.

question

How can I eject the card safely under Windows, without the need to unplug and plug again the reader for it work again? My notebook's internal SD card reader always initialises by itself after a card is insert, this one doesn't do that after it has been unmounted (Windows peripheral safe eject procedure).Windows only ofers the option to ejects whole SR2 reader, which isn't then doesn't mount itself on next card insert.

question

Does this is a proprietary cable as a stand alone reader? No mention anywhere on the output connector. If it is not a standard USB out and the cable is lost or breaks - what happens then? :-(
Asked by: Karyn O.
The cable can be easily replaced. It is a stand alone reader that plugs in via USB.
