The UBK Fatso from Wave Distribution permits you to go from smooth and easy-going sound at moderate settings to aggressive extremes. It has tape-like saturation and harmonic distortion as well as a warmth limiter for rounding and fattening spiky digital transients. A switchable transformer allows for additional harmonics and overall thickening. The separate compressor section with seven custom curves tuned by Gregory Scott, aka UBK, makes the Fatso an efficient dynamics-shaping tool.

The seven unique compressors include four 'name' presets plus three 'hidden gems' that help you produce a remarkable range of flavor, attitude, and grab by means of a one-knob interface. 'Splat' is designed to give you a similar character to an API-inspired compressor while 'Smooth' gives you a tracking-style classic limiter texture. Adding these two together lets you achieve 'Glue', which locks the bass, while it renders all the notes clear and makes your mix loud.

The UBK Fatso enables vintage limiting, smooth opto leveling, and transparent gain reduction. It is ruggedly built and designed to give the operator musical compression regardless of the sound being processed or the amount of compression being applied.
