Jump into the excellence of Epson's large-format lineup with the Standard Edition of the SureColor P7000 24" Inkjet Printer. This unit incorporates the latest PrecisionCore TFP Print Head and PrecisionDot Screening Technology along with an eleven-color UltraChrome HDX pigment-based ink set with auto-switching black ink technology to produce vivid, brilliant images at a finely detailed resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi. This model can handle both cut-sheet and roll media up to 24" wide and can produce large, panoramic prints up to 529" in length. The P7000 is also capable of working quickly, producing a 16 x 20" print as fast as 2 minutes 2 seconds. PrecisionDot Screening technology furthers the printer's quality by using advanced math to calculate dot size and placement using a variable-sized droplet system. Also, users can manually program print head cleanings to ensure optimal performance at all times.

Operation is simple with a top-loading feed for both rolls and cut-sheet media. There is also a built-in rotary cutter for automatically cutting prints from rolls and the front control panel has a 2.7" color LCD screen for checking print status and settings. Epson P7000 reviews

SureColor P7000 Standard Edition 24" Large-Format Inkjet Printer is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Printer I use the SureColor P7000 Standard for my Portrait and Wedding business. It was incredibly easy to set up (definitely have four people on hand to help lift the printer onto the stand). I run a nozzle check and print head alignment every morning. The little bit of ink it uses to do this is worth it for clean nozzles and the peace of mind to print all day. If you drop this much money on a printer watch the B&H Photo Channel on YouTube. There is a video with Epson's Todd Schneider on care and getting optimum color from their printers. The ink charging much less ink than stated on the internet but it did eat half of each provided tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to learn. Best prints I could imagine. I have been an Epson printer owner for decades so it should be no surprise that this printer produces top notch prints. I was happy to see that the user interface is similar to my old 3800 and I could step right up and print. I had waffled over replacing my now defunct workhorse with another 17 printer or springing for the larger, newer P7000. I was surprised at how much sharper and richer the prints came out. So glad I went ahead and sprung for the better technology as well as the size. It is a massive machine, though. It really did take 4 people to move it into the house. There was no getting around that. Once we put it in place, I am extremely impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer with no nozzle clogs. Coming form an 4900 I was very concerned about nozzle clogs. This has not been a issue for far. The printer comes well packed ( Heavy , you will need 3 people ), setup , ink charging and head alignment are very straight forward. My first prints were very good and after a few tweaks they are excellent. If you are ready to move up you will not be unhappy with this printer. NB: order an extra cartilage of of the light black. when your order the printer . it is almost used up on the initial ink charging. I have printed 20+ , 20x30 with the initial inks, and still have 1/2 of the initial charge left. I did replace the Light Black , after 12 prints. There is something magical seeing those large prints come out of the printer. Life is short .... GO FOR IT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Large Format Printer My first concern was about the delivery with Fed -Ex, but that actually went very well. The printer was very well packaged by Epson, even though it took some time to unpack, but this was a good thing. As far as the quality I'm printing great Landscape pictures mostly 23X36 size. The colors are matching great to my screen colors. Definitely an excellent printer. I will say one thing , the setup is a bit involved , but there is a great you-tube video on-line on setting up the Epson P-9000, which also applies to this printer . The documentation is okay, and it includes a set up guide and reference guide , but I wish the Reference guide was more elaborate due to the setting available for the printer, on the electronic Menu. One thing to be sure , is to buy an extra Light Black ( LK/GY) cartridge as the printer will use 95% of the ink on set up, at least it did for me. The rest of the inks were lest at about 40-50% after the set up was complete the printer was charged. Overall a great printer , I'm very happy with it. But just to be on the safe side I got the 3 yr. extended warranty, from Square Trade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great printer - one month old and all's well. I have owned Epson printers formany years, most recently an Epson 7900 that died due to print head failure after 7.5 years. The SC P7000 is identical in appearance to the 7900 and most parts except the print head and inks are the same. So far (but it's still early) the clogging performance seems greatly improved. I have not seen one missing nozzle in the nozzle check patterns so far. Print quality and longevity is better than any printer except the P9000. Do not rely on the timer based cleaning function to wake up the printer and check or clean the nozzles in spite of what you will read in a some online reviews. All it does is time how long it has been since the printer last printed. When you next power the printer on, or send a print job if the printer was powered on but asleep, the printer will perform a nozzle check and cleaning if needed *if* it has not printed for longer than the set amount of time. You have to be there to turn it on or send a print job, so it does not work for automated head maintenance if you are away or just don't use the printer for a while. That would be easily accomplished in firmware if Epson ever chose to do it. It is possible to schedule a task in Windows systems to print something periodically (like twice per week) but unlike Epson's electronic nozzle checking it means keeping paper always loaded and essentially wasting it. The way the timer based cleaning works is a major disappointment so I took off one star. Reviewers who say it is great for going on vacation have obviously never actually tested how it works. FWIW, it works *exactly* as the Epson manual states. You can download that online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a machine..... I should like to start by saying that photography is my side job, my passion. My day job is that of a commercial printer, specifically a press operator. I run a 6 color offset litho press, basically I know what it is to put ink on paper. Though inkjet isn't like offset in any way other than putting ink on paper, I live and breathe color accuracy every day, and this Epson is impressive! Into my 12th print now, and I'm just blown away by the quality I'm seeing in these prints. The color (once I got things set correctly) is dead on my calibrated monitor. I'm more than happy with the speed, I'm printing a 22x30 at 14 minutes flat. While that may not be the fastest print time out there I have the quality settings cranked and i am blown away by these prints. It's relatively loud while its preparing to print, but once it starts printing it quits up quite a bit. The noise isn't going to wake the neighbors or drown out a stereo but it's loud enough that you notice it. Very easy to set up and load paper and ink. Set up did take me a few hours, I was interrupted a few times, but the initial ink charge seems to take forever when you just want to make a print! I'm extremely happy with this machine and will recommend it highly!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good prints- bends sheet paper easily Printer makes superior prints when all goes well. The black is blacker than my old HP Z3200ps and prints are slightly better. B&W prints are superior. Problems: fine art Sheet paper easily gets bent when loading. I solver problem bu holding a small stip of paper in front of laser, as it is loading, to keep it away from the slot. Epson should have made a better slot!!! Epson P7000 uses much more ink than my old HP Z3200ps perhaps 2-3 times as much. It may be it puts it on paper- or wastes ink in cleaning? The roll paper catcher is flimsy and an odd design. Not a big issue tho. There are times when machine will not load roll paper and requires a restart. Over, the prints are the best ink jet I have made to date and other issues like paper bending take a modification that Epson does not know about to fix- homade paper guide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, Big and Spectacular Most importantly, this printer produces spectacular fine art photographic prints. The printer is easy to load with rolls or cut sheets. The Epson paper profiles I have tried seem quite accurate. I have also used Red River and Moab paper profiles on their respective papers without a problem. I will do my own profiling when I get a chance but this doesn't seem critical right now. The control panel could be a little less ambiguous and it sometimes seemed to lead me around in circles until I realized I was not following the instruction booklet literally. Once I followed the instructions to the letter, it all became clear and very easy. Just don't release the rollers when loading cut paper. The instructions don't say to do it but it seems the panel asks you to during the loading process. Not true. The printer will hold cut sheet prints until you release them manually, unless you tell it not to hold them. It will cut roll paper automatically or cut only when you push the button if you want to catch the print before it goes into the basket. The printer is BIG. Although I measured the space before I ordered it, I was not prepared for its sheer visual bulk It is truly the elephant in the room and seems to dominate everything near it. it's a huge step up (in every sense) from my Epson 3800. A small reservation is that it won't handle the small photo cards as it won't handle paper much smaller than 8 1/2 x 11. You do need a loupe to inspect the nozzle check printout. I had one clogged jet after leaving it unused for a week, but it was hard to detect without good light and a loupe. This cleared on the first cleaning cycle and has not returned. I hope this was a fluke but I now print a nozzle check pattern nearly every day that I am not using the printer, as I am terrified that it will clog like some of its older relatives and want to keep the ink moving. Epson claims that this new head is less susceptible to clogging, but I am not taking any chance
