    Epson P6000 reviews

    SureColor P6000 24" Large-Format Inkjet Printer is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Epson SureColor a sure-buy! Photographers.. This new Epson printer is amazing! The largest printer I've had is the 3880 and anyone who prints their own with that one can attest it's fantastic.. So wait till you get your prints rolling out on this new beauty. Its fast, fun and fantastic, printing at rapid speeds for 24 X 36's in under 5 min and detail that only the 3880 rivals. For my money, it's priced very reasonably (rebate included in purchase) and worth the upgrade. Inks are a bit pricey but I think may be more available with in a year at lower prices. Meantime, let your work be WIDE-format!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FASCINATING ;) That's right, we are fascinated by the quality of our prints now. I was hesitant due to the clogging issue of previous generations, living in Houston TX where humidity is always high we had not have that problem. Even when we don't print on a daily basis we do perform a nozzle check every 48 hours. It has been 5 months and so far so good. Make sure you budget for your first ink cartridges as light grey and black will run out quickly. We love the different media we can print on and the quality of the prints. Best purchase ever! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good printer so Far I just order this printer few day a go. I run a photography business in Chicago, I'm replaced my two years old sure-color T5000 printer due a printing head issues, cost me 1800 dls to replaced the head plus labor. I'm not very happy with Epson. I got this new Sure color P6000 and i just print few 20 x 30 prints and it looks stunning. if you got a printer like this one make sure to order a extra set of inks, because the new ones used half of the inks just to fill up the lines. Also if you can get a 3 years warranty in case some thing happen. I wish i can have a warranty in my T5000.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer This printer is great, simple to use and it prints beautiful. It seems to have the same rich blacks as noted in the smaller P800 and I am only using my cheap paper, the Enhanced Matte on 100' rolls, so I am expecting much better quality on the better papers. It is huge, a massive thing that seems almost over engineered but it seems that the P6000, P8000, P7000 and P9000 share the same box/ structure. Couldn't pass up the free shipping on the Epson P6000 24 printer from B&H. Was looking for a 24 printer to replace my Epson 7600 24 printer, which I had bought used on eBay. Knowing the problems with buying on eBay, I did check out the used prices and found them quite high, so for a little more money, I could buy a new state of the art printer. Some things to know - the printer is listed at 222lbs. but with the shipping pallet and box, it is more in the 320 to 360lbs. range, It showed up fairly soon via FedEx freight but not in a big 24' lift-gate delivery truck, it was in a large 18-wheeler truck with no lift-gate. So the driver and I slid it off the back of the truck and slowly lowered it to the ground and he wheeled it over to my parking space (it is listed as sidewalk delivery only and B&H does send extra emails to let you know). The directions state that you should use four people to lift the printer. After getting it on the stand and placed in the room, I let it sit for a week as the directions let you know that the starter inkjet cartridges mostly filled up the ink lines and you would soon need new cartridges. When I started it up everything went smoothly and it was quick, after the bi and uni direction alignment, the cartridges showed about 35% remaining in all the cartridges except for the LK with was down to about 10% and the ink low warning was up. Even though, I could get the printer to work the first few times, the paper load button didn't seem to work without fiddling around with the garbage can button. Since I was coming from an older mechanical Epson 7600, I wanted to make sure I knew how to operate this printer correctly and was carefully following the directions. The display on the printer, after it went thru the start up, had a top choice of Paper Loading Method which led to a load paper choice when selected the next screen said press the paper loading button and NOTHING HAPPENED. The button didn't work, didn't light up and I could not load paper, everything was locked. Since it was friday evening, Epson tech support was a monday to friday operation, I called on monday afternoon around one o'clock. After 20 minutes on the phone with a tech, her solution was an Epson Tech support person was coming to me, tomorrow morning and parts were going to be overnighted for the morning. I put absolutely no pressure on Epson, even said there was no rush on my account. So around 11am the tech person showed up in my condo in southern Florida. He came in started up the printer and when it was up, he pressed the paper load button and it worked perfectly. I showed him the screen on the printer and the PAPER LOAD METHOD. It turns out these were instructions only and they DISABLED the paper load button. He said that he did training on these new machines but had never noticed this printer display instructions. Since all the Epson Techs know the correct sequence, they never looked at this part. He basically blamed it on the lost in translation bug. Epson did a follow up call the next day to make sure everything was ok. So kudos to Epson! I am a very happy camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best printer on a market. I had one problem on a beginning: Epson technicians had no Idea what to do with metallic canvas. Profile did not exist. My old printer Stylus Pro 7890 did perfect prints on any media. This one - not. Attent.: When U make profile for METALLIC CANVAS, push Paper config and slide to the left Color density to -20%. U will be very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The printer is excellent/shipping "nightmare". Let me first thank B&H, for standing with me on the great customer service. The shipping was a nightmare. Without going into detail the printer did not arrive on the due date, and was over a week late due to being lost in transit. I have a close friend, who also has the P-6000 Who was nice enough to stop by and help set the new printer. It took him about 30 minuets to set it up in my computer room. He made it very easy. Excellent product again from Epson. Last printer from Epson was a 4880 and it's still running strong, and is a great older model printer. Now I'm saving for my first new set of inks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hard initial learning curve but worth struggle Firstly, know that this thing is huge. You will need at least 3 friends to move it. It was difficult to find the drivers online but finally loaded them. The ink that comes with it is good for one print basically. Paper loading instructions are not descriptive enough. Paper that come with it is low end That being said, once you set this up and put good paper, it makes beautiful prints

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad inks! This is my forth 24 Epson printer, the best is Epson Stylus Pro 7890. SC P6000 gives similar result but Who cares about 20 years warranty on inks? We will not be able to check it. This printer does not like to print on Hahnemhle metallic canvas. Images look horrible with any profile: bad distortions in dark areas.(See photo). Old printer prints outstanding colors on any media. Stay away of this printer if U need metallic canvas!
