With its software-based capabilities, the UniFi virtual control plane allows for unlimited scalability under one centralized controller. You can remotely access the UniFi Controller to upgrade deployed UniFi APs while in the field.
Save Money and Save Time
Unlike traditional enterprise Wi-Fi systems that use a hardware controller, UniFi comes bundled with a non-dedicated software controller that can be deployed on an on-site PC, Mac, or Linux machine; in a private cloud; or using a public cloud service.
Powerful Hardware
The UniFi 802.11 ac Dual-Radio access points feature the latest in Wi-Fi 802.11 ac MIMO technology.
Intuitive UniFi Controller Software
Configure and manage your access point with the easy-to-learn user interface.
Unlimited scalability with the option to build wireless networks as big or small as needed. Start with one and expand to thousands while maintaining a single unified management system.
Extend Your Coverage
With the UniFi Controller software running in a NOC or in the cloud, administrators can manage multiple sites: multiple, distributed deployments, and multi-tenancy for managed service providers.

UniFi Controller

Packed with Features
Use the UniFi Controller to provision thousands of UniFi access points, map out networks, quickly manage system traffic, and provision additional UniFi access points.
Breakthrough RF Map
Use the RF map to monitor and analyze radio frequencies for optimal AP placement, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Detailed Analytics
Use the configurable reporting and analytics to manage large user populations and expedite troubleshooting.
Guest Portal/Hotspot Support
Easy customization and options for Guest Portals include authentication, Hotspot setup, and the ability to use your own external portal server. Use UniFi's rate limiting for your Guest Portal/Hotspot package offerings. Apply different bandwidth rates (download/upload), limit total data usage, and limit duration of use. All UniFi access points include Hotspot functionality for billing integration using major credit cards, voucher-based authentication, voucher creation, guest management, payment refund, and full customization and branding of Hotspot portal pages.
Multi-Site Management
A single UniFi Controller running in the cloud can manage multiple sites: multiple, distributed deployments and multi-tenancy for managed service providers. Each site is logically separated and has its own configuration, maps, statistics, guest portal, and administrator read/write and read-only accounts.
WLAN Groups
The UniFi Controller can manage flexible configurations of large deployments. Create multiple WLAN groups and assign them to an access points radio.
UniFi provides a visual representation of your network's status and delivers basic information about each network segment.

UAP-AC-LR-US 802.11ac Long Range Access Point is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Location, location, location I purchased the access point to extend the network in my home, with the intent to cover the front yard which I was having difficulty with coverage. Being long range I thought I could just place it next to my other router and enjoy a longer range without any significant effort, however I was wrong. I found the range is not any different than the router I currently have. I decided to take the hard route. I pulled a cable from the router (in the kitchen pantry) to the garage and I placed the access point on the garage ceiling. Now I can see much better reception in the front yard ! I don't think it's anywhere near the 600 ft the specifications say though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup - Placement Wireless Data Crankin GREAT Device 1st - Great price 2nd - Quick FREE Delivery ( no tax ) 3rd - Setup the UAP-AC--LR with the iPhone app. 4th - found the best location in the house for best coverage\ Ceiling Mount 5th - streaming Netflix (via my Roku3)last episode of house of cards and a glass of vino. 1.5 weeks without a burp. My only remarks cautions are that it should have came with a paperclip type of tool to remove the AP from its ceiling mount. ( used a thin paper clip to remove) ****Read the instructions on the Web site on how to upgrade the firmware before you install.* ** Be aware that it does not set up via a web page - You have to use the IPhone App or download the free controller software from Unifi.. // If you intend to purchase and set up 2 or more AP's at the same site, Download and install the free controller software first so more comprehensive control and flexibility can be yours //

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome range! I use this AP at my home - I get solid range throughout my 2 story home and basement. I would recommend in a heartbeat. A couple quirks: 1) if you do the setup through your android phone, you cannot use the PC based controller software. Not a big deal - but just something to know. I resolved by factory resetting the AP and then using the PC software to 'adopt' my AP. I can then connect to the PC controller with my android. 2) If your PC is low on memory, the PC controller will not run and will produce an error at startup. Deleted some things and made 10gigs free space, and then ran without any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enterprise grade AP at consumer price This (along with other ubiquiti products I've used) is amazing. There's one drawback I'll mention in a moment, but it's the most reliable AP I've used and continually has the highest data transfer speeds, best range (long range models or not), and least downtime of any wireless AP I've used. It's easily the most easy system to use if you plan to add more wireless AP's regularly. The quality and features of this are on par with most (and exceed some) other commercial/enterprise grade comparable products that are 2-10 times more expensive. The only drawback is it has a unique management feature that is unlike all others. It's not the end of the world, but it is different enough it can be annoying for some users who just want to plug it in and use a browser to set it up real quick and move on. If you don't mind getting their management utility, it's hands down my favorite AP out there. Also, their support guys are the best. Worked with them a couple times on an old product when it was first released and with beta software.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not kidding about long range! I setup 2 of these in a larger house. There is one in the front corner of the house and another one in the back corner. The second unit is setup as an Island AP (wireless uplink to the wired AP). I am then able to walk almost 400 feet from that AP and still get outstanding ping times and great speed test results. The whole property is covered and is about 4 acres! Please note that the 2.4GHz is for the longer range. The 5GHz does not go nearly as far. Also you must use their 24volt power injectors as they are not standard PoE (they are included).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved the pressing problem I live in a dense WiFi zone. WiFi Analyzer on my phone shows 20 networks. We're particularly inundated with signal from the school across the street. I had three TP-Link or Apple devices setup in the house and couldn't really get good signal from 20 feet away especially on 5GHz. I installed the Ubiquiti on the closet ceiling of the bedroom in the middle of the upstairs. The house is three stories, 45 feet long, 20 feet wide. Lots of old wire mesh in the walls from the days of plaster. The signal is now strong in every room and workable outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AN OUTSTANDING PRODUCT???? This is the 2nd one purchased to add to an existing WiFi network. These access points were really designed for commercial use but for large homes or mansions, they provide the perfect solution for a great WiFi experience. Mounted on a ceiling, this unit looks like a smoke detector, and require no separate power wiring since they are powered by Power Over Ethernet (POE) with the included POE Injector. WiFi coverage is excellent even on the AC band. All optioning is done via the Ubiquiti app downloaded to a PC. An outstanding product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best AP on the market I recently discovered Ubiquity Networks products due to poor performance of all in one routers for wireless capabilities. These are by far want I wanted to isolate wireless performance and settings and provide complete extended coverage throughout my property.
