    HP LaserJet Pro M477fdw reviews

Color LaserJet Pro M477fdw All-in-One Laser Printer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scan to email and double-sided printing are super. My previous HP printer, after many years, gave up the ghost. I replaced it with the M477fdw. Features I look for are laser printing, scanning, and copying. The printing is quicker with good quality. Previously, I scanned to a thumb drive and then transferred it to the computer; now I can scan to an email and all the interim steps are eliminated. Previously, double-sided copies required removing the sheets and putting them in the paper tray to print the second side; now, the printer does double-sided printing automatically. I am most pleased with my new M477fdw printer and recommend it as a great solution for those looking for a four function laser printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The printer that you want, every time. There's always debate over laserjet vs inkjet. I am no expert but have vast experience with both and in my opinion, they both get the job done. What it comes down to is speed, quality and longevity. Inkjets are slow, use tons of resources and typically go bad after a few years (if you regularly print). The constant cleaning of the heads and alignment procedures just waste ink. Laserjet is fast, reliable and durable. Pay the little extra cost up front and get the quality from day 1. This machine gets the job done, prints great (every time) and is fast. The connectivity is simple and its ready to go right out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, Duplex, Wireless, Color; Just what I needed. I had been limping on a mono laser for years and finally bit the bullet. I am very happy with my purchase. This printer is faster than my old mono laser that I have had. Granted, if you are printing a complex full page color picture PDF, it will take a bit. But for your average color web page or color document with a mix of pictures and text, the page is out before I can put my laptop down and move from the couch to the the printer across the room. I am also liking the scanner and have set the network scan location so I can scan and electronically organize for my small business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm not one to go out of my way to leave a review but in this case I will. Had great luck with an HP laserJet I purchased four years ago for my small business. After putting some serious work through it and wearing it out, I decided to get another HP. Everything setup perfectly within minutes with the exception of the scan to computer feature. Finally had to call customer service, it took them all of five minutes to remote in and figure out what I did wrong, then I was good to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've never been this satisfied with a printer ever Since 1994, I've owned several printers. Started off with a dot matrix type and moved up to color laser printers. I've never had a printer before this work without a hitch. This printer just works. Its got everything a home/small office needs. The scanning capabilities are brilliant, just wish it could take business cards. It prints spectacularly fast. Never had to wait for a print for more than 10 seconds. The toners are reasonably priced too. BEST FEATURES: Prints fast! Scan to email/shared folder Apple's airprint support PROBLEMS/ISSUES: While minor, I think the shared folder setup could be a bit easier than it currently is. Business card scanning HP apps on the printer aren't really useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bow to my almighty printer! Disclaimer: Prior to this, I had a small HP Officejet 6600--nice printer, but a bit slow and did not have duplex features. My priority this time around was to have something wireless, could print duplex, and had the all-in-one features. Therefore, compared to my last printer, this one is godly. I love it! It even scans duplex, too! My favorite part is that anyone can print to it if they have the eprint email address. My friend from NY surprised me for my birthday by printing a mobile-drawn Happy Birthday. It has definitely exceeded my expectations. Only con is that it's much bigger than my last printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Far exceeds expectations I was tired of inkjet smear and runs when the pages gets a drop of water. I am thrilled with the product. Many of the frustrations others have experienced have not happened to me using the printer as wireless only in my home office. I'm so pleased, that I am getting another for my work office. I got sticker shock at replacement toner prices, but when you consider that you get 2000 pages, it's not so bad. Moreover, the print quality is good and the characters are not as heavily embossed (thick) as other large office color laser printers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT BUILT TO LAST EVEN A YEAR On the plus side, I didn't have to install the toner cartridges because they came preinstalled. Wireless was also simple to set up. The software install took a while but no major issues. On the NEGATIVE side, Day 3 the left-side manual tray guide came off and the gear-toothed piece holding it got jammed in the bottom of the door and took a while to get free. The other thing is THE FANS ARE NOISY! I had to turn the sleep time down to 1 minute to get it to shut up! Can't wait to get HP tech support on the phone to get the tray fixed or replaced or whatever! I had purposely avoided HP for years because of past problems; I gave them a shot and this is what I get. Thanks HP.
