HDMI Down Converter to Composite and S-Video is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great on HDCP Compliant Streaming Device We stream Russian TV programming in our USA home. The HDCP compliant streaming device is hardwired to our router with an Ethernet cable. The streaming device's HDMI video/audio signal is great, the picture very sharp, the sound good. When the streaming HDMI signal is passed thru the Avenview device, the HDMI pass thru output signal from the Avenview device is also great, very clear, very sharp, no degradation. The S-video and analog sound output from the Avenview device are also very good. A small negative, the output HDMI, S-video, and audio cables can be pointed at the wall, out of the way, but the input HDMI cable sticks out in front. I'm thinking about buying an input HDMI cable that has an L-shaped connector, so I can route the cable sideways, so it doesn't stick out forwards. The Avenview device has no on/off switch, we power it thru a power strip that we can turn off/on. The Avenview device needs to be powered on for the pass thru HDMI functionality to work. Back to good things, our old streamer box mixed a signal in with the S-video, which required a signal zapper to remove, but the good thing is the Avenview sends a clear S-video signal, no zapping required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Video Swiss Army knife It did a great job down converting Apple TV @ 1080/60p to composite video and extracting digital coaxial SPDIF audio to be sent to an A/V system.
