    Sanho UDMA 3 reviews

HyperDrive ColorSpace UDMA 3 Wireless Storage Device (2TB) is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish I could give it back Battery runs out very fast, internal heating, slow downloading of cards (30 mb / s on average), menu not intuitive to perform operations, inability to connect the device to a computer via USB cable and view the files and inability to read files recorded on Sony (exFat) over 4GB were just some of the problems I noticed when I first used a wedding (we finished work on the event with 6 cards to download, because there was no more time available for the slow download of UDMA3). I do not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for an adventure We brought this on a long bike trek adventure and used it to transfer photos from the camera cards to this hard drive. Perfect for when you don't want to bring along a computer. Super easy interface. Simple to use. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from still having some issues I have had UDMA2 worked great no problems and upgraded to the UDMA3 love the concept works great in the field - but I have been having issues trying to get photos downloaded back to the computer - been in correspondence with the tech but have not resolved the issue - the usb3 cable connection to my mac is not working correctly - will probably have to use a wifi to transfer data - this will work but slow - hopefully will get resolved when return from Costa Rica

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I would would look at another product I just received the Hyper drive, It seems to be very robust and has a lot of functions. However , the directions are very poor and leaves you with a lot of uncertainty. You have to spend a great deal of time working with it to get a feel for what you really do with it. They prices is ok . But so far I am not impressed

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Battery Charging Only charges to 82%. Is this a defect or to be expected?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but gets the job done Outside the price, which I suspect is enormously inflated, the unit performs well. It is USB chargeable so no special wires or plugs are needed while traveling. The menu is a bit clumsy but easy to figure out without resorting to the minimalist instructions. You need NOT connect the unit to your camera or to your computer wirelessly. Just use the hard wire that it comes with. After saving files to the unit and then connecting it to your computer, your computer will recognize the Colorspace unit as a separate drive. You can copy the entire SD card to the Colorspace unit or you can copy just the most recent photos. Both methods work flawlessly. Copy time is very fast compared to my old Wolverine unit. You can review files on the crummy screen. The image appears in "waves", getting sharper with each new wave. You can use the screen to verify that your images were copied but please don't try to decide if the image should be deleted - wait until you get home and see the image on the computer. The Colorspave screen is too small to see details. Once connected to computer, you can transfer the photos to your hard drive. After charging the unit a couple times, the unit will recharge only a fraction of a full charge, say 62%. If this happens, go to SETTINGS then POWER SETTINGS, then to COULOMETER CALIBRATE and select this option. The unit will take FOREVER to discharge the battery. When it hits 0%, then recharge. You may not get back to 100%, but you should get close. Good luck.
