Will this auto focus on a 500pf lens and if not is there a sony adapter that will?
Asked by: Jay
No. This is useful only in the extremely rare case where you have a fully manual lens with an F mount. No. Sony makes no such adapter. Ommlite makes an electronic adapter that works with some Nikon lenses, but I find it much too slow.

question

Can i use this with my AF 70 300 Nikkor lens to use on a a6300?
Asked by: Lucca B.
Yes, the Metabones Nikon F Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera T Adapter II would allow you to connect a Nikon 70-300mm lens to the Sony E-mount used on the Sony Alpha a6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera. However, as Nikon has manufactured many different versions of the Nikon 70-300mm lens, this adapter is recommended for older Nikon F-mount lenses that have their own aperture rings built into the lens to control the aperture. You would not be able to control the aperture of a newer G-series or E-series lens. If you own a newer Nikon lens that does not have an aperture ring built onto the lens, then I would instead recommend purchasing the Metabones Nikon G Lens to Sony NEX Camera Lens Mount Adapter (Matte Black), B&H # MENFGEBM1, for your needs. This adapter has an aperture control built directly into the adapter for use with Nikon G-series lenses.
