Nebula NEBULA 4200 5-AXIS Overview

Featuring dual handgrips on iso-elastic style arms, the Nebula 4200 5-Axis Gyroscope Stabilizer is a handheld stabilization system that adds vertical and mechanism stabilization to the traditional motorized 3-axis system. The result is a full 5-axis stabilization system that gives your footage that classic floating-camera look typically associated with vest-and-arm systems but in a compact and easy-to-use form factor. The stabilizer supports loads up to 5.5 lb, making it suitable for DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

Utilizing a 32-bit board, dual sensors, and three motors, the stabilizer can counteract unwanted shakes and movement along the pan, tilt, and roll axes to provide smooth, stabilized footage. The iso-elastic arms work to eliminate vertical movement of stops when walking or running, while also providing a small degree of horizontal stabilization as your hands move left or right. Tool-less adjustment points enable quick and easy balancing, with full tuning and parameter control done over Bluetooth on iOS or Android mobile devices. Up to five presets can be stored for quickly switching between different camera and lens setups.

For single-handed operation, a single handle is also provided which can be attached as a top handle with the camera positioned below it, or vertically with the camera on top. These setups will only yield 3-axis stabilization. Also included are two camera plates, a smart battery with 4-hour runtime, battery charger, and a hard case for safely storing and transporting the stabilizer and accessories.

question

Has anyone used this on a c100 ?
Asked by: Joe
The is no suggestion or reports that the 4200 can handle a C100. While the 4200 can handle the weight if you use a light lens, the yoke appears not to be large enough for the body. It's form factor really is only compatible with compact DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

question

can i use this as th nebula 4200lite ?
Asked by: Prateev B.
They are very similar. However, the 4200 has 5 axis stabilization with Iso-Elastic Arms with Dual Handgrips. The 4200Lite has only 3 axis stabilization and no Iso-Elastic Arms with Dual Handgrips.

question

What Gimble will work with a Canon 1DX Mk II?
Asked by: Les R.
I would recommend the Letus35 Helix Jr. Gimbal Stabilizer Handheld-Mode with Bluetooth, WiFi & RC (Aluminum) B&H # LELTHXJRALRC. It has a greater capacity and can handle the weight and height of the 1DX Mk II.

If you get the Nebula 4200 5-Axis model, (not the other versions) you not only get the 3 axis gimbal, you get 2 additional axis in both vertical and mechanism stabilization.

question

Dear B&HThank you for your service and support. I ve bought the Nebula 4200 5 axis in February 2016, The product is really good. Nebula allows film really amazing sequence shots !!! (The camera flies) but I find that the battery it is not working OK. First I thought that the battery lasted only 5 to 10 minutes. But that does not seem reasonable for a product that requires large film sequences shots. Then I thought of buying another battery for support to do not have to charge it every 10 minutes. I meet that Filmpower Company sells battery. i told them the battery statement and they send me battery to replace for free. Filmpower Company sells the product with 2 batteries and you sell only one battery in B&H I wonder if you sell the Nebula with 2 battery ?
Asked by: Andres D.
At this time the Nebula 4200 5-Axis we sell only comes with a single battery. If you are having any battery issues and need assistance finding a replacement please email us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to assist you through email.
