Building on the popular, compact MiniPlus LED Light, the Litepanels Brick LED Light features the same rectangular form factor but offers 4x the brightness, tungsten-to-daylight variable color-temperature, and IP65 weatherproof rating, all ideal for on-the-go shooters in varying weather conditions. It is designed with tightly-binned surface-mount LEDs paired with fine-tuned, custom-designed TIR optics. This results in improved color reproduction and increased brightness that provides a longer throw. The Brick delivers a 100W tungsten equivalent output at a 36° beam angle and is flicker-free at any frame rate or shutter angle.

The Brick LED Light features an ultra-smooth 100 to 0% brightness dimmer. It also has a dedicated power button, allowing you to maintain your settings when you turn the light off. The Brick has an integrated D-Tap cable, compatible with select camera batteries, and also supports optional AC/DC power.

Brick Bi-Color On-Camera LED Light is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, but big The build quality is great, they are a sturdy, made out of cast aluminum. They aren't some little plastic housed thing that is going to fall apart at the first bump. You can operate them with gloves on if you had to, and the on/off switch is a membrane that has a quality feel. The videos and photos online don't do it justice though: these are big lights. I'm going to say at least 100% bigger by volume than Litepanels' previous bricks. They aren't heavy if you consider the relative size, but they aren't light. You're going to feel them on the top of an EFP/ENG camera. They are at least as wide if not wider than the width of an shoulder mounted ENG camera/viewfinder. My only other minor beef is something that may be considered a plus by others: the Dtap cable is quite long, probably 30 inches?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Brick means brick I bought this thinking it would be a great light to use with my FS7 that is setup to run more like an ENG camera. Once I got it out of the box I realized there is no way this is going work for my situation. They named this thing the Brick for a reason. It weighs more than I would like for a top mounted light. The specs say ti is only 24oz. but when you have it in your hand it feels a lot heavier. It is a well built light. Solid and very bright. If you can handle the extra payload you should get it but for me, I will be sticking with my old Litepanels mini plus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy, but good light. This light is pretty heavy as on-camera lights go. I use it on a lightweight Panasonic ENG camera, so it's not a problem, but a loaded F800 wouldn't be thrilled by the added weight. That said, it puts out great light. It's a spot, so it throws everything pretty narrow and focused, but the light spreads well and the color range looks good. It's well built. I like it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bigger, heavier but now bi-color and brighter I have used the mini-plus for years. I like the slim and lightweight design of the mini-plus. Comes with battery packs you attach to the back of it. This new bi-color unit is noticeably bigger and heavier then the mini-plus. It is heavy like the mini-plus with the battery attached to it. Benefit of the bi-color brick light is the bi-color function (and weather sealing), which comes in very handy in documentary work. No need to add gels and loose light output. Good light quality. This brick light is designed to be mounted on the camera and powered by the camera. No internal battery. You have to power it by d-tap. Not really a replacement to the mini-plus. More like an addition to your kit. Use the brick on your camera. Keep the mini-plus for other lighting applications.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great LP build quality but really big and heavy This is a nice choice for a shoulder mount camera but not for smaller rigs like the Canon C300 etc. I unboxed this and it was missing the white diffuser it is supposed to come with. No biggie. What is a biggie is the light itself. Its huge and bulky and heavy. Its powered solely by a 12v lead that ends in a power tap. If you have a cam without an AB plate or a D-tap its useless unless you run the lead to a belt pack. The BRICK Needs a med sized arm to hang it out over the cam in the correct position. Once its there I just found it way too big. The three stars are for the build quality and the functionality. The on and off switch is separate from the color and dimming pots which is very smart and handy. IT needs to shed weight and have an option for powering with an onboard Li-on Batt IMO.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's big... The light is bigger then I expected and a touch heavy, but the controls are well placed and the output is great. The color appears to be very accurate throughout dimming and the variable color temperature. It's a well built and sturdy design that I expect to last many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of juice for the size. Like many posted before....it is heavy. I use it on a full sized camera and not a puss when it comes to carrying items so it fits my use fine. Solidly built. Going to take alot of abuse before it breaks. No hesitation in dimming and bi-color is great and just what I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Light This light is very bright and powerful. I love its horizontal profile. It sits nicely on my zacuto have cage. I love that it works off d-tap as I have plenty of those batteries and you can run it for ages without worrying. The di-color feature is a bonus. It is not as heavy as other reviewers comment. It adds to the stability of your rig without adding to the bulk. It is an excellent addition to my kit.
