can i use this to attach the Speedotron 202VFCC 2400 Flash Head to the Impact Smoothy 360 Degree Globe Diffuser?
Asked by: Jose
The speedlight adapter is meant to be used with speedlights and is not big enough to use with a flash head.

Will S bracket fit a yongnuo YN968N speedlight. The speedlight dimensions are 3.1 x 2.4 whereas the bracket dimensions are 3.1 z 2.2. One would think there would be an after-market alternative that would work?
Asked by: Don
Hey Don, I wouldn’t fret. I own the YN685N, the specs say 2.6”. That refers to the thickest point of the body which is at the base of the flash, not the head which slides into the bracket opening. My 685 works flawlessly with this bracket. Hope this helps!

question

Does this open far enough to pass the whole speedlight through hotshoe first? I have an attachment on the lights that prevent just inserting the head like normal.
Asked by: Adam
It depends on the size of your speed light. If you have something substantial like a canon 600ex-rt, then you will not be able to put the bottom of it through all the way. If you have a magmod on the end, you really just have to take it off.

question

Can we have more pictures with it using speedlights and monolights? Does the speedlight hang by the flash top via clamp?
Asked by: Gary
I only ever considered using it with a speedlight. Not sure how a monolight would fit but maybe some mount styles would. For a speedlight, straighten the head so it would be facing the ceiling if you had it mounted on your camera hot shoe, then put the flashbulb end of the speedlight straight through the opening so the unit is about half way through. Then tighten the thumbscrew on top. The clamp will move down and hold the speedlight firmly in place. No more falling out of hot or cold shoe mounts! I love this product. The only negatives are the size; I carry six speedlights to most shoots and they take up more space than the old coldshoe mounts, and with my usual MagMod modifiers I have to remove the elastic band that holds the mounting magnets on the end of the speedlight before it will fit through the bracket. Neither problem outweighs the benefits of not having $500 flash units dropping on the floor anymore.

question

Can this attachment allow a Canon 600EX-RT speedlite to be used with an Impact Luxbanx softbox?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes it can. Please note that you will need to use a Bowens S-Type speed ring along with the Luxbanx softbox in order to connect the softbox to the bracket.

question

Does the Godox AD200 fit in this?
Asked by: Omar A.
I have not tested this personally, but others have confirmed it does fit. Some say they had to remove the rubber grip from the top clamp. Others said it fits without removing it, but it is tight.

question

Can the angle of the S-bracket be adjusted so that you can bounce flash off the ceiling? The flash unit would need to be in the vertical position for this to be accomplished.
Asked by: eestubbs104
Yes, it can. The tilt handle allows full 180 rotation.
