    BenQ HT2050 Reviews

HT2050 Full HD 3D DLP Home Theater Projector is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing in dark scenes, otherwise good projetor. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic, but the dark areas had no detail. Everything else looked great except the dark scenes. Lowering the gamma seemed to help, but not entirely. I have not compared this projector to anything else, except a theater movie experience. Also the HDMI connectors seem recessed in that you may think your cable is fully inserted, but have to continue about an eighth inch more to be fully connected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Projector Have had this for about two weeks now and ease of set up, and great picture have made this an awesome buy. Was rated as top pick in all my research for projectors under 1k, and I can see why. Also great experience dealing with B&H for shipping and delivery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid performer It's no secret that this is one of the best projectors in its price range. This is my first projector so I have nothing to compare it to but I am very satisfied. Black levels are good though nothing to write home about. Colors and sharpness are very good. Very quiet. The vertical lens shift is pretty limited and there is no horizontal lens shift so measure carefully if you're mounting to the ceiling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect projector for the money! Just received this projector and after doing a lot of research I couldn't be more happy! Friends can't believe the picture quality for the price. Fan noise is very minimal. Movie nights and watching sports have definitely changed in our house!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I used it just about everyday with about a 10 foot throw on a white wall. Great color, and the built in speaker isn't that bad. Great buy if you want to watch big screen movies but don't want to buy a tv or full projector setup.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was great... I have barely had it a year and the lamp just exploded... Hopefully it's just a lamp replacement as it is now a month out of warranty I believe... The Optima i had before this lasted for many years.

I have 4k content playing from a blue ray player to a tv. I want to split off the signal and send it to this projector. Will the signal come through downgraded in 1080p or the hdcp 2.2 prevent it from coming through?
    Asked by: Anonymous
It needs to be 1080 to display. You will have to scale it down first.

What is the difference between this and the ht 3050??
    Asked by: Anonymous
The HT3050 has horizontal keystone and better color performance (wider gamut), but both units are excellent.
