Combining the performance of a military thermal sight with the precision of a riflescope, the IR Hunter MKIII 640 4.5x-36x Thermal Weapon Sight features a BAE MicroIR uncooled vanadium oxide microbolometer with a spectral range of 8-12µm and a pixel pitch of 12µm. It allows users to see hot and warm object in complete darkness without the need for external illumination. You will detect and see wild animals, livestock, humans, running engines, and other heat sources during day or night. The shock-resistant 60mm, f/1.25 optical system features germanium lenses. While the lens system is thermally stabilized and offers 4.5x optical magnification, the objective lens is anti-reflection coated for improved transmission of infrared light.
To add versatility to the device, the built-in electronics offer a electronic zoom of up to 8x, which together with optics provides a maximum digital magnification of 36x. You can view images and aim on target using the built-in 640x480 OLED display or use a video output port to connect to external screen or recording device with a choice of 60Hz or 30Hz frame refresh rates. To provide improved visibility, the sight comes with a number of digital imaging features such as Digital Contrast Enhancement, Enhanced Target Recognition, stadiametric range finder, and five digital reticle patters.
The housing is made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with black anodizing finish. It is shock-resistant, weatherproof, and submersible up to 3' for 15 minutes. It also features an ergonomic and lightweight design with knurled adjusters as well as windage and elevation knobs for a tight grip. The included high-precision LaRue LT681 mount has a double-lever quick-release system for stronger attachment to Picatinny rails. Also included are a battery extender, two lithium CR-123 batteries, video/download cable, soft storage case, and shuttered eyeguard.
