Manfrotto 190Go! Overview

The 190Go! Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit with Ball Head from Manfrotto is a compact support weighing 3.9 lb that extends up to 61.8" high and folds down to 22". Utilizing twist locks, the tripod can be quickly set up and broken down with a simple twist of the wrist.

The included Manfrotto 496RC2 Compact Ball Head is constructed of die-cast aluminum, strong enough to support SLR or DSLR cameras with a medium lens, and light medium format cameras. It has a single repositionable locking lever, ±90° tilt movement, plus a friction control for precise positioning. Cameras are attached to the ball head with the included 200PL-14 Plate with 1/4''-20 male threads. Additionally, the quick release has a safety system to prevent an accidental detaching from the head.

The center column on the 190go! can be positioned at a 90° angle, parallel to the ground, allowing the tripod to reach its lowest height of just 2.75". An Easy Link adapter attachment allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.

Pretty solid. Initially, I thought it will be a little shaky comparing to my big tripod. It is actually even stronger. The header is good too. When you get used to it, it can quickly put on or release.

Love this tripod!

This is my first high quality tripod and I am extremely happy it's stability and ease of aligning shot. The ball head provides a resistance control and locks camera securely as aligned. I like the flexibility of leg angles and the ability to easily make the center pole horizontal. It's relatively small and will fit easily in a suitcase for traveling.

Excellent quality,

The main reason I bought this tripod/ball head combo was, in addition to Manfrotto quality, it fit perfectly in carry on luggage. Light weight, but I believe the carbon fiber makes it very steady for a four section tripod. Also, B&H matched the price from a competitor.

Great Tripod!

I finally caved in and decided to purchase a higher quality tripod than the one I currently have. The build quality is great, and the carbon fiber construction makes it light. Legs are also very sturdy. I was originally concerned about the height not being tall enough. However, the height is good enough considering it's mainly marketed as a travel tripod.
