The Small Travel Tripod from Prima Photo offers the traveling photographer a portable camera support in a lightweight and compact form factor. The tripod features a maximum height of 50.2", a minimum height of 13", holds up to 8.8 lb, and weighs only 2.6 lb.

Each tripod leg uses a twist lock configuration to extend each of the five leg sections. Additionally, the tripod's legs can be set independently in three different positions, allowing the tripod to sit lower to the ground for dramatic landscape, macro, and portrait photos.

The included ball head uses separate head and pan locks for more accurate control. An Arca-type compatible quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 camera screw is included in the kit, along with a durable carry case with a shoulder strap for storage and transport.

Small Travel Tripod (Blue) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small and Light but STURDY I purchased this tripod specifically to use for travel when weight is important. I have used this twice now and was not disappointed either time. I was able to mount and use my canon 7d MkII with the vertical grip without any problems. Tripod was secure and did not wobble. I used the camera with a Sigma 18-200mm zoom without any problems. Images were clear and sharp. No wobble at all. The tripod supported the weight of the camera lens combo without any difficulty. I would have given it a 5 star review if the included spike tips for the tripod were integrated into the legs along with the rubber tips, rather than having to remove the rubber tips to replace them with the spikes when needed. This however is just a minor irritation and not a real problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a travel tripod, don't expect to confuse it with RRS Got this on Deal Zone. Needed a small packable tripod for plane travel. Solid enough. (No, I wouldn't go to Golden Gate Park, fully raise the tripod, put my D850 and 70-200 on it, and walk away.) Yes, I would use it for a group self portrait (with a weight on the hook - nice feature in a small inexpensive tripod) or a long exposure while I was standing right next to it. That's what I bought it for. Very compact, decent quality, not as light as I'd like (but you can't have decent quality, low price, and low weight.) Probably wouldn't pay full price for it, but with a rebate or deal zone it's a great value. As always, B&H is my go-to retailer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as light as spec says I bought this tripod for a multi-day hike for the sole reason of it being a traditional tripod with 50+ inches of height that's lighter than my normal tripod. However, the tripod itself even without the ball head, weighed close to 2lbs 9oz, with ball head and plate it comes out to 2lb 12oz. Unlike other more expensive tripods with feet that converts from rubber to spiked in one package, this tripod came from seperate rubber and spiked feet, which is additional to the 2lb 12oz. half a lb of weight difference to the spec listing is significant and disappointing. Ballhead is flimsy. But the tripod itself is very solid for the price, and the locking mechanism is pretty good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad at all I mounted my Canon 5D3 with 70-200 2.8 L II on it with IS on; delay shutter release, The picture is very sharp. But I definitely would not use it on night photography. Furthermore I can put the whole tripod inside my Think Tank Retrospective 20 shoulder bag with above said outfit and a 18-135, total weight 10 lbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as I expected First impression was good: decent look and very well made, which made me to like it immediately. However the first test was not very pleasant. It did not seem to be sturdy enough with my d750+20-120mm lens on it. I almost wanted to return it right away. Considering about the sale price and its real decent quality, I gave another test and made sure I tightened everywhere. I would say I feel better now and decide to keep it. Overall, the quality including the ballhead is very good at the price level, though it is not so sturdy as I would have expected. It is ok to put in my bag for a none photography trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from id buy it again. Of course ive just had it a short time,. i find it very compact, light and easy to carry, much sturdier than other tripods ive used in the past in the smaller size, most get wobbly with the legs extended, this one remains surprisingly solid feeling. the ball head is very smooth and easy to adjust. my only knock is that the bubble level is off and useless, as i rely on other cues to frame my shots its not a feature i need anyway, some might though so it could be a consideration. Nice solid construction and attractive finish. will be using it a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's never let me down. **Disclaimer, I'm new to this photography stuff, so I'm speaking as an amateur. I love this tripod. I was looking for something that I could carry around with me on hikes so it needed to be small and light. This tripod fits all the important criteria. The legs are easy to manipulate once you figure out how the lock works and its very sturdy. I'm only using with with a DLSR and at most a 300mm lense, so nothing super heavy. I'm sure if you are using a 3k lens, you may want something made for that type of weight. I highly recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works but... I am torn between the value of this tripod and the uneasy feeling I get as I step away from my camera once it's mounted. I bought this on a moment's notice to take on a family vacation. The tpod is easily packable, light weight and the red color is snazzy. It's a bit cumbersome to set up but not terribly so. While it didn't inspire confidence it didn't let me down. On firm, level ground it would not give me pause, I just happen not to use it in such a place. For the money, I can live with it.
