The Big Travel Tripod from Prima Photo offers the traveling photographer a strong and capable camera support in a lightweight and compact build. The tripod features a maximum height of 53.9", a minimum height of 16.5", holds up to 17.6 lb and weighs only 3.6 lb. The Big Travel Tripod is actually two supports in one as one of the legs may be detached from the tripod and joined with the center column to form a functional full-size monopod.

Each tripod leg uses a twist lock configuration to extend each of the five leg sections. Additionally, the tripod's legs can be set independently in three different positions, allowing the tripod to sit lower to the ground for dramatic landscape, macro and portrait photos.

The included ball head uses separate head and pan locks and features a friction adjustment for controlling the speed and movement of the ball. An Arca-type compatible quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 camera screw is included in the kit, along with a durable carry case with a shoulder strap for storage and transport.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, budget friendly product! This is an awesome upgrade from my first tripod! I love how there is an option to convert it into a monopod. It's very easy to use. I appreciate that here are two levels because I can get obsessive with how straight my photos are. A welcome surprise for me is the option to change the feet of each peg from rubber, to studs. It works great when you're setting up on unpaved surfaces. I'm very happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a tripod with a restricted budget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tripod I bought this tripod when it was on sale for $59 and am extremely happy with it! The tripod is very comparable to the Manfrotto element big (besides having a slightly decreased extended height) I love that you can remove a leg and make it into a monopod - super helpful for when shooting with gimbals. The quick release plate is not the easiest to secure to the camera (It works by tightening it by hand; however, if you shoot portraits the weight of the camera can sometimes cause it to loosen and move- use the included tool to prevent this) I made a video comparing this to the Manfrotto, check it out!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UEjZXVnnns

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy & small enough to fit in my backpack I bought this for a trip to take video while using my mirror-less digital camera. It folds down pretty small, and fit in my lightweight backpack. I have to admit it was a little heavier than I had expected, but it is so sturdy, so I don't mind the weight (and the weight is certainly manageable). I like that one of the legs can come off to create a monopod. It's easy to adjust the camera angle and swivel, and i like the built-in levels. I also like the quick release system, and the carrying bag seemed slightly padded and sturdy. I found it a little bit hard to close the legs, but I just used a little elbow grease to get them to close. Overall I am very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! Very nice/great-value tripod. Lots of nifty features: 1. Three spread positions/angles 2. Spring-loaded leg tabs 3. Anti-rotation legs 4. Fully extended to 62 in. not including the head 5. Monopod conversion 6. Padded carry-bag Minuses are weight (knew this before bought it) and cheapy head (can't ask for more at the price). I replaced a better head and called it a done deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolutely recommend For the money, it's a solid piece of kit. You'll notice the weight, but again, for the price it is hard to beat, especially for something this tall. Mine arrived with many components loose but, the accompanying wrenches remedied that issue. Just make sure to tighten everything up before you use it. One draw back to note is that if you use an arca swiss grip, you may have difficulty attaching it to this head because of the anti-slip plate protection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again. I bought this tripod as a traveling tripod. I like it especially because you can take one of the legs and use it as a mono-pod which saves me from carrying another one. Lots of flexibility in the way you can use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid! Sturdy tripod and worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but sturdy This is built like a full-size, all-metal tripod, but it's about 75 percent the size you might expect. Still, very solid. I have no qualms putting a full-size slr and lens on it. Paid $50 and consider it a very good deal after receiving it.
