Add smooth sliding motion to your video productions with the 31" Carbon Fiber Camera Slider with 19mm Track Rails, from ikan. The slider is lightweight at only 1.5 lb, yet can support loads up to 18 lb. The large 4 x 5" carriage accommodates fluid heads and tripods of various sizes, and glides smoothly along the rails thanks to eight sealed bearings on aluminum rollers, with a maximum camera travel distance of 26". In addition to a 3/8"-16 attachment screw, there are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads on the carriage that are useful for mounting optional accessories. At the ends of the slider are angle-adjustable legs with height-adjustable rubber feet for leveling on uneven terrain. A padded carrying case is included to conveniently store and transport the slider.

Carbon Fiber Camera Slider with 19mm Track Rails (31") is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Uneven Bars I was really excited by the weight and form factor of this product. Pros: lightweight, very smooth glide, end mountable, nice adjustable leg system, folds up, wide platform many tapped mounting holes. Cons: I experienced a twist between the two rails. Though the slider was perfect for wider focal lengths, longer focal lengths reveal a small rise or drop in the shot. Conclusion. Probably the best most flexible choice for this double rail slider design at it's price. I looked at the other carbon fiber sliders, twisted them, etc. and determined that even the more expensive ones could suffer from this problem and it might just be something that cant be expected of a lightweight two rail design. Having purchased a heavy single rail unit now, and if I could own two, I'd still consider this unit for its mobility and glide action with light weight cameras and shorter focal lengths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth & Light! My slider showed up with none of the production defects mentioned in the other revues -- no roller seams or rod bumps -- and looks like it will work perfectly with my lightweight video setup. As long as the tripos (or end stands) are secure and well-balanced, this thing stays level and works smoothly all along the rods. The carriage carries a relatively lightweight video head extremely well. The brass knob brake/lock may seem a bit basic, but it works well enough, too, without biting into the carbon fiber. For a generally lightweight setup, this works (and transports) SOOOO much better than the aluminum alternatives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little slider, but... I've only used this in some testing session on not on an actual shoot. It's a very nice little lightweight slider. The problem might be it is TOO lightweight. I'm going to have to do a lot of practicing to get a movement that is consistent & steady. I've mounted a small fluid head and am shooting with a Canon XF-100 camcorder. It would be nice if this had some type of drag or resistance system because the slider is so smooth the slightest little touch gets it rolling. So far I'm happy, but I'm debating just taking it on the chin and buying either a motorized slider, or one with a crank/pulley system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great slider - great price! With a lightweight fluid video head on this puppy it really packs a punch in my video production. Paired with my carbon fiber tripod this thing is a light weight-go anywhere package that any event professional would appreciate. Pros - smooth slides and lightweight Cons - The adjustable feet can be a bit tricky and may need to be adjusted to allow hand tightening in the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Slider For the price, this slider is amazing. I have owned this slider for about a year and it has never failed me. I did run into some problems where it would snag up on me. However I found out that if you don't loosen the brake knob quite a bit. The buffer will tilt either way and grab the carbon fiber tube and stack up on you. Since I found that out it really hasn't caused meany grief. At the time this was the cheapest slider that wasn't fiction based . It is super smooth and unless you find something cheaper that's better. It's a good slider if you're on a budget.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very smooth at all. I tried it first with a 100mm lens and the vibration was quite visible. Figured it would be less noticeable with a 35mm lens; it was not. The carbon rails have a slight texture to them that you can feel in your fingertips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very light, VERY smooth Pretty good piece of tech. Came with its own carrying case and was basically ready to go right out of the bag. I was hesitant at first when I saw the price, but I've had nothing but great results with Ikan products in the past so I decided to give it a shot. Only real flaw is that it's SO light that my 70D makes it sink a bit when the camera goes to either edge. But I must point out that I had it mounted to one tripod in the center. So that could have had something to do with it. But so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect First Slider For my first slider, I originally ordered a Glide Gear but it didn't work well. B&H recommended I try this one and I must say it is night and day different. It has a very smooth slide to it, it feels sturdy and is light. Keeping in mind the price and what you get for it, I would recommend the Ikan slider, especially for someone who is looking for a good entry slider. There are no bells and whistles on this product, but it does have a smooth slide and you can get great results with it.
