Use this set of two Large Pro Loop System Connectors from Op/Tech USA as a spare, replacement, or to change the length of your Pro Loop strap. Made in the USA, these connectors are designed to connect to a shoulder pad, other Op/Tech USA gear, and can even be connected to form a handle. Photographers often use extenders to lengthen their existing strap for cross body wearing, or to replace longer lengths for positioning gear at chest level.

It didn't work for my purpose, but it seems decent.
I ordered this hoping that is attachment buckles would fit a Zeiss harness which was missing a similar type of component. Unfortunately the buckles didn't match. Hopefully, I will find a use for it sometime.

The right tool for the job(s)
I think I've been using OpTech straps and accessories, including connectors, since they first came out. Their system connectors I believe are the best made. They probably don't need it, but once the ends are snapped together (and taped with a small piece of gaffers tape for extra security) and I've never had one accidentally open up. These are durable connector systems made from quality materials that are intended to take day-to-day professional use and anything less. I use them on binoculars, spot and comor temp meters, pouches, quick release for camera bag straps, shoulder packs, brief cases, computer packs, and even water bottle pouches. Easy to clean, never had a connector or strap deteriorate. IMO the best in the biz. In my experience, there's nothing more versatile availalble or better for the job.
Works OK but need an intermediate size
The connectors work fine as advertised. I purchased these in an attempt to help the strap length work better for me and my body size. Note that I am of average height - 5'10, a bit long in the torso. The OP/Tech strap alone attached to the camera is a bit too short even when extended to it's longest setting. I added these connectors hoping to gain just a bit of extension, however now the camera strap/connector combo is too long, even at it's minimum extension. I was able to get the size about right by adding one connector instead of both, but of course, since the neck pad on the strap is immobile (e.g., does not slide), this combo makes it off center. If the product fit me right I would heartily recommend it. It may work well for others; it just didn't work for me.
Great Quality Extension
I really like the wide camera straps they are very strong and ultra reliable
The best straps for your camera!
When I first went to Africa over a decade ago, I took an Op/Tech pro strap with me. It was a life saver with my heavy camera and lense combo! Now as I send family members back again, I've bought them the same straps and I know they will greatly appreciate them. These loop type connectors are by far the best for connecting to the camera because they are flexible but absolutely positively attached to the camera (or binocular) body.
Great Product & Company USA Made
Purchased this as a update to my OP/TECH 3/8 webbing connector which I have used for over 13 yrs. & still looks new with no problems. OP/TECH manufacturers a great product. Easy to install & won't damage your camera when resting on it in your bag.
Works with an OP/TECH strap
I have an old OP/TECH strap (probably an early version of the Classic strap sold now) from 1988 which is still in perfect condition. The connector portion of the old strap is a bit different from what is sold now....just a thick foam piece, but the connector part of the strap was a plastic piece that hooks onto the camera and this part was in the way on the sides of the camera and rather annoying. I replaced that part of the strap with these new pro loop connectors, and they snapped onto the old strap perfectly as the clips are still identical even after all these years. Much better connection at the camera end, and I'm happy to be able to use my old camera strap again.
