Photoflex DP-250-B reviews

Lamp - 250 Watts/120 Volts for StarliteQL is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from 250 Watts is not enough light output Just bought a Photoflex lighting kit that came with a couple of these 250 Watt bulbs. Color is good and accurate and fine for what I was doing. But 250 Watts for this type of bulb is simply not powerful enough. I had to shoot the portraits at ISO 400+ the entire time, and this was a small room with a white backdrop. And you can't use these lights direct like the classic Eiko style bulbs. You have to bounce it off an umbrella or wall, and that seriously diminishes the power. These are also quite pricey at 2.5-3X the cost, but supposedly lasts longer. Only time will tell. If you buy these Starlight bulbs, go with 500W+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right bulbs for me They work just as I thought. Allows me to have enough continuous lighting to view my subject to let me know how I would want to use my strobes.
