Allowing you to produce full-color imagery when working with a monochrome CCD or camera in conjunction with a telescope featuring a 1.25" eyepiece, the StarGuy LRGB Filter Set from Vixen Optics contains three color separation filters plus a luminance filter. Each of the three color filters-red, green, and blue-are used to record separate exposures, which can then be composited in post-production to form a color image comprised of three separate filtered monochrome images. The luminance filter can also be used to block UV and IR wavelengths for increased contrast and clarity within the visible spectrum that the three color filters comprise. Each of the filters are constructed from double-sided, multi-layer coated Schott B270 optical glass in order to control surface reflections and reduce flare or halos.
