It is constructed from solid ash wood, which gives it excellent stability and natural vibration suppression to ensure clear views even when there are people walking around the mount or you are observing in windy conditions.
This tripod is designed with a 26° leg angle to maximize its stability, with a matching wood accessory tray to hold gear like eyepieces and filters while adding rigidity to your entire support system. Each leg is tipped with a stainless steel spiked foot that give the tripod a sure footing on soft ground with a foot step that allows you to firmly and securely press the spike deep into the ground.
With a maximum load capacity of over 264 pounds, the tripod will easily carry the mount, optical tube assemblies of all configurations, plus accessories such as imaging gear and guide scopes. To accommodate a wide variety of users and telescope styles, the tripod is capable of standing between 35 and 54" for optimum eyepiece accessibility. It has a folded length of 38" and a weight of 24.25 pounds and features a bull's-eye bubble level to ensure proper setup and alignment.
