Sony LCJ-RXH reviews

LCJ-RXH Jacket Case for DSCRX1 Camera Series (Black) is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than last one This new jacket for de SONY RX1/RX1R/RX1RII, IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE OLD ONE. The old one (LCJ-RXB) was not practical at all, because once you open the upper part, it is completely detached from the jacket so you have to find a place for it. The new one (LCJ-RBH) comes with a fastener in the bottom that let you take photos with the upper part of the case attached to the base of the jacket. Great improvement. Same great leather quality of the old one. Fits Great and, because it has an extension in the bottom for the fastener, when you use it as half case, the front doesn't incline with the weight of the lens and sunscreen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expensive and cumbersome, but necessary RX1 protection On the positives, this updated camera case for the RX1 II is well made, and construction quality is very good. Due to the proportionately larger Zeiss lens mounted on the RX1, this carrying case is bulky. The Sony case designers had a bit of a challenge because of that. It is cumbersome to unsnap the top jacket of the case to get the camera ready for shooting and butterfinger users like me should first practice taking the top half off at home with a soft cushion to prevent user error accidents in the field. Overall, I recommend the case for protection while carrying the camera. Price wise, this is an expensive leather case but think of it as a good insurance to protect the camera while in transit and during storage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery compartment closing mechanism breaks easily I had this case for about 1.5 months and it is broken already. The closing mechanism is made of a pastic spring-type-thing. And if you have to change batteries often, as you have to using the RX1RM2, this will break due to material fatigue of the plastic part acting as the lock spring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery compartment lid wears out quickly For $249 this luxury item doesn't last. Mine lasted about 1.5 months. The closing mechanism of the battery compartment lid is made of cheap plastic. It wears out quickly. And eventually does not keep closed anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very cheaply made A case for the original RX1 was of much better quality. I even doubt its a real leather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! Nice leather look, protects my camera. No issues

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Protects camera well. A little cumbersome to use, for the price.
