Works just as it's supposed to

Good compromise of weight, size, and price

A pretty good compromise of weight, price, and size.....I needed a compact jib to shoot dslr location work and while this isn't the smallest portable rig, it does pack out small for an eight foot boom. With collapsible tube design, the arms can torque making it hard to level the camera plate, but there was no choice that had a square cross section arm in the size and weight combo. Price wise, this was not the cheapest but was far less than some eight footers, so I rolled the dice. So far the only complaints I have are the aforementioned tube torque and no lock on the pivot to hold the camera at a certain attitude.... but neither are deal breakers for this versatile, lightweight, and relatively big jib. Time in the field will tell if the build is robust enough to last in my schedule.

question

Are you able to tilt the camera with the head of the jib for different views?
Asked by: Lavon
In order to do pans and tilts of the camera while on the jib, you will also need a tripod head. It could be a photo head for compact locked-off positioning or a more flexible use video head. We have many available. The Benro S4 Video Head B&H # BES4 is but one suggestion.

question

How high off the fulcrum can this jib get the camera?
Asked by: Carter L.
With the arm set at a maximum length of 4', figure the max height of the camera to be about 3'-4' higher than the height of the tripod.
