Combining excellent optical performance with ruggedness, portability, and comfort, the 8x32 Diamondback Binocular from Vortex Optics is ideal to take along on your hiking trips, camping, traveling, or just in case. The specially designed optics feature improved transmission, contrast, and true color using fully multi-coated lenses and phase-corrected roof prisms. With the improved close focus of 2.4' you will get plenty of focusing range and a sharp focus on faraway scenery as well as close-ups of nearby street signs, monuments' details, or wildlife. The combination of 8x magnification, optimal for jitter-free viewing, and the 32mm objectives offers you a generous 8.1° angle of view that gives you complete images of your targets.

The lightweight aluminum housing is purged with argon gas and sealed with o-rings to offer enhanced fogproof and waterproof performance. The short-hinge bridge is reduced in size, compared to previous generations of Diamondbacks, to cut overall weight and to expose more of tubes' surface for easy holding. To ensure that you have a non-slip grip and tuning, the body, oversized focusing ring, diopter ring, and twist-up soft tapered eyecups have rubberized coverings. The focusing knob and the diopter ring also have knurling for easy use even with gloves on. Also included with the binocular are a carry case, neck strap, rainguard, and tethered objective caps.

    8x32 Diamondback Binocular (Green/Black) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I found these a bit of a mixed bag I bought my Diamondback 8x32 binoculars to use for birdwatching, general hiking and as a compact easy-to-carry and easy-to-pack take anywhere binocular. There are a lot of things to like about them: their compact size, light weight, good handling, centre sharpness, wide field of view, good colour+contrast and extra-close focus performance are all quite attractive. (Note, though, that while impressive they don't focus nearly as closely as the stated 73 centimeters. I'm nearsighted, but measured closest focus as 108cm without glasses and 127 with.) There are a couple of things that aren't so great: the small sweet-spot of best optical presentation and only so-so control of chromatic aberration (colour fringing) are two. Strong field curvature is probably their worst optical sin - but the consequent effect (in conjunction with other aberrations) on the portion of veiw that's out of focus is something that probably disturbs me more than it might other people. Others might not even notice it! Or, if they do, they might not really care. It does bug me, though. That last is the reason I've rated them 3 stars rather than 4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compared to Leupold and Bushnell Choose this model over similar Leupold and Bushnell models. The field of view is clearer and IMO larger. It almost delivers equal to 10 power bino's with similar form, fit, and function. Only thing I would suggest to make this any better is to make it variable power; which is likely not possible considering the compact size. Thanks Vortex for another great product that does it's job, and does it well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected We love the size of them for our purpose. We have several other larger binoculars, but these will be taken on a safari to Africa. We used them yesterday to watch birds in our backyard and they were great. The clarity is almost unbelievable. Very happy that we have them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for traveling Nice, lightweight but yet still powerful enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eastern PA Hunting I bought these for hunting small game in South Eastern PA and was so amazed at the clarity and magnification of these that I scheduled an appointment to see if I was a candidate for Lasik. Turns out that my vision is too good for Lasik, and that the binoculars are just that impressive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality for the price!!!! I have been using this Binos for 2 years now great glass for stalking in the deserts in southern Arizona!! The glass does get a little blurry along the edges compared to other models and brands but for the price it’s cant be beat!!
