The gray COS-11D Omni Lavalier Mic, Reduced Sens, with Hardwired Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitter by Sanken is for capturing audio. It is designed to be used for various applications such as broadcast TV, theater, film, videographers, and more.

Delivering an audio performance that meets the standard of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D addresses the noise issues associated with digital in order to ensure a pristine audio signal. Plus, the wide frequency response ensures accurate, transparent audio reproduction; and its omnidirectional polar pattern provides a generous pickup area while minimizing feedback and off-axis noise.

Furthermore, an improved water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, etc. This COS-11D terminates in a Hirose 4-pin connector and is wired for use with Sony DWT-B01, WRT-822, and WRT-8B transmitters. A metal windscreen, holder clip, rubber mount, and plastic case are also included.

Is there an option to connect it to a XLR input camcorder? Also will it work with my phone's 3.5mm headphone port?

A Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter, BH #ROVXLR, will allow you to plug this mic into a camera with XLR input, which would be able to provide 48 volt phantom power to the mic. To connect this to a smartphone, you would adapt the end to TRRS with a Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRRS Male Adapter Cable for Smartphones, BH #ROSC4. The smartphone will power the mic in this case.

Unfortunately we have not tested E Track with this Sanken cos 11 Sennheiser lavalier. You can still purchase and tested for yourself we have a store return until Feb 1 2020

I am curious as to the yes answer. I have 2 UM200c transmitters that work flawlessly with my Cos-11’s however, these same cos-11’s WILL NOT work with the Lectrosonics LT series transmitters as the TA5F connector is wired diffently. ( it uses pin 5 I believe) Anyway, I was looking at this mic as being compatible with the LT series, if it is GREAT! It’s confusing that Lectrosonics changes the pin configuration on their transmitters. ( I called Lectrosonics and they said they did change the TA5F pins on the LT series transmitters. Will this mic work with the LT transmitters? Thanks

A few reviews speak of the mic only working with ...

A few reviews speak of the mic only working with G3/G4's when it is half plugged in. Is that due to buying the wrong 1/8 connector, ie for a differerent make of transmitter? Or is there a compatibility problem with the Cos11D and the Sennheiser EW range.

The same person would be comparing the diagram of the stock mic Me2 wiring with the Sanken . So it's only different wiring not compatibility issue

No, the Sony wiring of this mic is not compatible with the RodeLink. Here's a Sennheiser wired version of the COS-11D that would be compatible B&H # SAC11WNSETRB.

Do Sanken COS-11D for Sennheiser Evo work with other Wireless Transmitters like SONY, Lectrosonics etc.?

The 3.5mm connector for Sennheiser will not work with SONY or Lectrosonics- the connector wiring is different for these, so the connector would need to be re-wired to work.
