    Ubiquiti Networks TC-GND reviews

TOUGHCable Ethernet Connectors with Grounding Wire (Box of 20) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great heads if you can modify your crimper to crimp these These do not fit inside the crimp dies of any standard crimper. Some quick research yielded no online solutions. I decided to buy the TC-GND connectors anyways and try to make them work. In the end, I found that you can crimp these connectors with a standard cheapie crimp tool. 1. Find a basic crimp tool that allows you to remove part of the RJ-45 die (see figures 1 and 2). 2. Properly strip and prepare the cable. 3. Insert the cable into the TC-GND connector and verify all is per the T568-B standard (or whatever standard you are using). 4. Take your unmodded crimp tool and insert the prepared TC-GND connector backwards into the crimp die so that the crimp tool's teeth are touching the connector's leads (see figure 3). 5. Give the crimp tool a good squeeze and ensure that all the connector's leads get punched down. 6. Take your crimp tool and remove the die half that does not have puncher heads. 7. Insert your connector like you would if that half of the die still existed. Make sure that both the blunt puncher and the teeth puncher are aligned with your connector (see figures 4 and 5). 8. Punch down again to finalize your crimp (but not too hard or you will dent the TC-GND connector). 9. Assuming the crimp was successful, you're done!
