I bought the H107C+ for my 8 yr old grandson and he seems to be managing it well. At first I wasn't going to buy the Crash Pack but when I realized it came with another $12 battery I decided it was a good investment considering you also get so many parts for repairs. Hopefully we won't have to repair it right away but the extra running time is good

Important kit if you are planning on regular usage

Many of these drones are flown around residential areas and they can hit a tree or have a bumpy landing. When you try to get it started and you burn the motor until you realize that the propeller broke and when you replace the propleller and still its not flying that's when you realize the motor might have gotten damaged so you now need a new propeller plus a new motor. So the crash pack equips you with what you need and gives you an understanding of where to check for common problems.

Total Fun!

It takes some getting used to the flight controls and handling characteristics. Forget using the quad copter on windy days or even when there's a little breeze. Try flying it at night much easier to see the led lights and when you get the hang of it fly during the daytime. Video is useless at night but daylit images are good. Batteries last about 5 or 6 minutes after full charge. Order 2 or 3 back up batteries and extra props. I purchased the crash kit. Good value. If you can find a large indoor space learn how to fly inside. Props damage easily especially the prop tips. Have spare props. Prop blades spin at incredibly high rate of speed so be careful flying around people and pets. The copter moves pretty quickly especially on accent. It has a rapid rate of climb speed and responds fairly quickly.
