Technology pioneered on ImmersionRC's Vortex ARF has been ported to the 250-sized Vortex 250 Pro Racing Quadcopter from Blade. This carbon frame racer is controlled by a total of seven 32-bit ARM processors and features a jet fighter-inspired full-graphic OSD (on-screen display). To help the Vortex 250 Pro stand out from the crowd, there is an array of eight programmable multi-color LED tail lights. The 2300Kv motors have been optimized for racing and are powered by 22-amp ESCs, each with a dedicated ARM processor. A 5.8G, 40-channel FPV system is integrated and it is also possible to mount an action camera, such as a GoPro, for high resolution recording of the action (mounting hardware available separately).
This bundle is Bind-n-Fly (BNF), meaning that is compatible with a transmitter (controller) supporting Spektrum DSMX protocol (available separately).
Fully Integrated Design
The flight controller, OSD module, BlackBox recorder, 40-channel video transmitter, and dampened flight camera are all neatly installed within the main airframe. This means no loose wiring for a finished, professional look
Seven 32-Bit ARM Processors
There's a dedicated ARM chip for the flight controller, another for the full-graphic OSD, another just for the programmable LED board at the back of the quadcopter, and one for each of the four custom ESCs
The Vortex 250 Pro airframe features a 2mm top plate and 2mm bottom plate with 2mm FR4 skid plates. No less than 15 aluminum stand-off members complement the structure. Carbon fiber motor arms, 4mm thick, prevent motor twisting in the air and collapse against the ground
Fusion F3 with CleanFlight
The Fusion F3 flight controller is equipped with CleanFlight firmware pre-loaded and a 32-bit processor to give it an out-of-the-box control feel. The software is future-proof, too, with updates uploadable via a built-in USB port
Dynamic Video Transmission Power
The Dynamic Power Control function of the video transmitter lowers power automatically when the Vortex 250 Pro is disarmed or ready for a race to start so that interference from other racers on the line is minimized
Wireless Video Control
NexWaveRF 5.8 GHz video transmitter technology includes 40 channels of support so that it's compatible with any 5.8 GHz FPV headset on the market. The integrated RaceBand system allows up to eight pilots to fly together, and it is controlled via the OSD, so choosing the clearest channel is all done through the flight transmitter
Integrated FPV Camera
The included FatShark 700TVL v2 CMOS flight cam is protected from impact and supported by a carbon-fiber plate that is vibration dampened. Its adjustable bracket makes it possible to set the camera tilt for the forward view that suits you best
Third-Party Camera Support
The compact Vortex 250 Pro is flexible enough to feature both a flight cam and a second action camera, such as a GoPro (available separately)
The Vortex 250 Pro features tuning parameters from Pro-Racers right in the box. Just select the racer, prop size, camera type, and other parameters and the Vortex OSD will configure the flight controller for you
RGB LED Running Lights
There are eight 24-bit LED tail lights placed between the upper and lower body plates. Use these lights to keep track of your drone in the heat of battle, while standing out from the crowd with fully customizable lighting patterns. The lights are controlled by a dedicated 32-bit ARM processor
Custom 32-Bit, 22A ESCs
The custom ESCs have a 22-amp peak, fast OneShot125 communication protocol, and regenerative braking for maximum response fidelity. Each ESC has its own 32-bit ARM processor yielding the processing power needed to sustain complex maneuvering. Special rotorSENSE support means that the motor direction is programmed with the flick of a finger (no direction-specific ESCs here)
Custom V-Spec Motors
The custom high-speed V-Spec 2204 brushless outrunner motors feature a high-speed 2300Kv rating and spin Gemfan 5045 GF bluntnose propellers for maximum acceleration

Full Graphic Display with EzOSD
The full-graphic On Screen Display (OSD) module provides in-flight updates of critical parameters. The EzOSD menu allows all options to be programmed in the field using the RC transmitter and a headset or monitor. Several OSD layouts are included. A real-time interface with the flight controller enables artificial horizons, fighter-jet style displays, and an exchange of flight parameters.
