This is a great way to motorize the MoveOver12 slider. very straight forward and simple installation that does not affect the current operation of the slider, in other words, two thumb screws and the motor is off and you are back to a fully mechanical/manual slider with no further modification needed. The motor is virtually inaudible during operation so a rig mounted shotgun mic will not pick up any unwanted noise. Very robust construction with screw on connectors for power and communications to the hand held control unit. The unit has a wide variety of speeds and has not demonstrated any bad tendencies.

Must know, before you purchase

This is a GREAT motor, VERY quite. As for the programming of it, simple, but it will not continually go back and forth without pushing the start button each time. IT only makes one A to B to A pass. Normally this would be fine, but if you need for it to continue, it will need to have an operator.

question

I love this slider and motor together, but is there a battery pack available for the motor? Having to plug it in all the time is a hassle, and occasionally, impossible! Any recommendations? Thanks!

As Dennis said, i have been using this with an ebay supplied 12v battery from china. Lasts quite a bit and is as big as a battery bank. so you can think of it as if its a self contained unit which is good for transportation

Can this automatically and continuously go from A to B and back or do you always hit button?

How? I can't find a manual anywhere. The controller is pretty simple. I figured out A to B and repeating by hitting joy stick, but can't figure out how to set for continuous operation.
