    CAME-TV 701-HDMI reviews

701-HDMI Field Monitor with Peaking Focus Assist (7") is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Better than Expected! Ok for the price, I thought I would have problems getting it to match my LCD on my Camera. But to my surprise it worked better than Expected. I older monitor gave out after 10 years, so it was time for a new one. I got this model to match the Stabilizer system. Buttons are easy and well built. My favorite part is after filming a 14 Wedding I didn't have to change the battery. AWESOME, I love how the system comes already set to place the hood on. Unlike other models where you have to glue or place the velcro strips on. The Manufacture already has it set! Works Better than Expected. In case you didn't read the description....YOU NEED TO PURCHASE A BATTERY FOR IT! I already had a Sony Camera that uses the same model battery.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Peaking Assist Does NOT Work If you have any type of information displayed in your camera monitor, like scopes, aperture info, ISO reading, etc... the peaking feature will highlight THOSE items in red-NOT the subject that you are shooting, and need to focus on. * If the peaking feature is NOT important to you, this monitor is fine for shooting-just as bright and clear as ANY other high-priced monitor (bye-bye, SmallHD). * Focus by eye, or zoom 400x for focus, and save HUNDREDS of $$$-the PYLE brand 7 monitor is IDENTICAL, and $10 cheaper (as of today).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bottery connection issue Well, for all the features crammed into the price, this seemed like a good gamble. I picked this up along with a pair of the Watson NP-F975 Lithium-Ion Battery Packs and a charger. The image is good, for the few seconds that the monitor will run continuously. The batteries connect loosely, and ANY movement of the monitor causes an interruption in power. Since no one mentions this problem in the review of the batteries, I'm thinking it's the monitor itself. There's a little play when the batteries are seated, and apparently it's enough to break contact. I'll try using a tape shim to tighten things up and report back, but at the moment, I consider the combination unusable. Maybe using the 12v connector is the way to go. I'll give that a try as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery not included. I'm really interested in seeing how it works but I'll have to wait until I get a battery. It would have been appreciated if it was made more apparent that a battery is not included.
