question

Is this the version with the encoders?
Asked by: Tsubasa
We're afraid not. This is not the model with encoders. For the Helix Jr with encoders you will want B&H # LEHXJRALEC instead. https://bhpho.to/2q8N8uT

question

Is the C300 Mark II compatible or too tall?
Asked by: walter
The Canon C100 is the largest camera known to be used with this. The C300 has a similar form factor and possibly will be fine if you do not use the top handle and grip. We would say you would be at the top of the limitations for use with this stabilizer.

question

Has anyone used this with the Black Magic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k? It looks like you have to do some work around things to fit it on a ronin or movi. The only other option is the Came-TV Prodigy which looks good in theory, but gets awful reviews.
Asked by: Cary
While the Helix Jr states it has the weight capacity for a URSA Mini Pro, we do not see it being large enough to mount or counter weight it. The largest camera reported is the Canon C100. That camera is about half the size of the URSA Pro.

question

Has anyone used this with a C100 mk2 ? What is the battery life like and is it easy to balance ?
Asked by: Joe
There are reports of the C100 being mounted and balanced successfully with no reports of short battery life. The C100 Mark II is virtually the same shape and the exact same weight of 2.2lbs/1.0kg. It should be easy for you to keep under the Helix Jr. 12lbs/5,44kg payload.

question

Is it possible to connect an external battery and run it of a wire something like a v mount battery ?
Asked by: Joe
While it might be possible, we do not see anyone doing that. The improved encoder motors allow the battery to last almost 5x as long. We feel that you give up too much convenience tying yourself down with a wire that will inevitably snag and a heavy battery to carry.

question

What's the return policy through b and h? I'm coming from the ronin and very nervous that the helix won't suit our shooting style.
Asked by: Chris S.
Should you be dissatisfied with an order, you have 30 days from date of purchase to make a return with all of the original materials included. Full details on our return policy can be found at the following link: http://bhpho.to/19fUBwL

question

How long does it take to setup ? (compared to Ronin ?)
Asked by: Jp
I've never used the Ronin, but setup for my Helix takes between 10 to 15 minutes. The configuration consists of a Sony A7R on a quick-release plate and 7 monitor. Everything is pretty much pre-balanced, so only slight adjustments are necessary.

question

Will it work with a Sony Fs7?
Asked by: Tali J.
A friend has a Sony FS5 and Terradeck on his JR. Looks heavy to me, but he says it works well.
