More than simply a general-use cutting tool, the Bushcraft Survival Knife from Morakniv can also be a lifesaver – it's a fire-starting system that works even when wet. It features a 4.3" long, 0.125" thick, carbon steel Scandinavian grind blade with black anti-corrosive coating. Its ergonomically designed high-friction rubber handle has a pronounced finger groove for solid control. It's easy to keep the edge sharp thanks to the integrated diamond sharpener on the sheath.
The spine of the blade is designed to serve as a strike for the included fire steel, which fits in a holder on the sheath. Sweep the spine of the blade along the striker to produce a shower of 5,400°F sparks that will ignite a camp stove or kindling, even if the steel is wet. The steel provides approximately 3,000 strikes. The bright sparks can also serve as an emergency signal.
The 9.1" knife comes with a black plastic sheath with interchangeable belt loop and clip.
