The B+W 77mm MRC 101M Solid Neutral Density 0.3 Filter is an ND filter with a 2x filter factor that provides a 1-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.3 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes eight layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity. This filter features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

77mm MRC 101M Solid Neutral Density 0.3 Filter (1 Stop) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for any landscape photographer Does the job, and is easy to clean (the biggest reason I like B+W filters). Hoya, Tiffen and cheap filters are harder to clean. Cheap filters also create odd flares, etc. I've never had a problem with B+W filters (have a CPL as well that I'm happy with from B+W). Would strongly recommend this filter for any landscape/outdoor photographer if you want to give your photos some drama (particularly with clouds, water/waterfalls, or anything you want to have the silky look). They are bit more expensive, but worth every penny, because they use brass rings, and high-quality materials in their construction. You get what you pay for. However, I also read that sometimes a CPL can be used in place of a 1- or 2-stop ND filter, but I don't like to substitute different filters. Get the right tool for the job and you will like your results better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must For DSLR Being a video guy, I really wasn't thinking about ND because my big cameras have it included. I just worked on a job with my GH4 and the lighting was really bright. I took a chance and ordered the .6 and the .3 and ended up using both together and It worked out fine. The video looks great, but, I haven't the in depth study of the lens characteristics that some have done. Although, the reviews I've read say that this is a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Filter I always have B+W filters on all my lenses. The build is awesome as I like the quality and how they look on my lenses. Very helpful for outdoor photography when you shoot under the sun. This filter use is another option beside polarisers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Glass I love B&W filters. They are always optically perfect and these ND filters produce almost zero color cast. Highly recommended.
