Will this work with the supplied hood in the Summicron 35mm Lens? Thanks.

No, the hood prevents a filter from being attached. Also it seems deep enough to protect the lens.

question

What does the E in E82 mean? Will this fit any standard 82mm front threaded lens or is it Leica specific?
Asked by: Jordan B.
No, this is not Leica specific. The E or is standard nomenclature for filters sized in millimeters (E82 = 82mm). The filter should thread perfectly.

question

Why is the 13037 replacement for 13373? Better quality than 13373?
Asked by: Alexsei
While Leica Germany is not specific on the details regarding the differences between the filters, Leica does simply state that they have improved all optical parameters of the filter, which infers that our current (newer) II filter's glass and optical coatings would be of higher quality compared to their older (discontinued) original version.
