The EA6900 Smart Wi-Fi Dual Band AC1900 Router from Linksys features wireless AC technology offering enhanced wireless data transfer speeds able to reach further than traditional wireless protocols. Along with integrated wireless AC technology, this Linksys router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies making it possible to allocate less data intensive tasks such as web browsing and email to the 2.4GHz frequency, while keeping the faster 5GHz frequency open to tasks such as streaming HD content and transferring large files.

The Linksys EA6900 Dual Band Router also features four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a stable, wired connection option. Also found on the back of the router are one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port designed to support peripherals such as external hard drives and printers. Once connected, users throughout the network can access and utilize the attached devices.

Security is a major concern when administering a network, and the Linksys EA6900 covers all the bases. Setup and configure parental controls and guest access to limit user access to various parts of the network and the Internet. You can also utilize WEP, WPA, WPA-2 mixed, WPA2 personal, WPA2 enterprise, and Wi-Fi Protected Setup advanced encryption standards for enhanced network security.

EA6900 Smart Wi-Fi Dual Band AC1900 Router is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, but expensive considering.... Had to replace a Dlink router that stopped working. With visions of installation issues like I had with the Dlink, I decided to order this Linksys Router. Surprisingly, the installation was straightforward and easy for my home network consisting of an Apple iMac, a Macbook Air, three PCs, and 4 printers (all wireless). This router is FAST. The iPhone app works as advertised. The downloaded computer app works on the iMac. The apps allow access to the router settings and makes it real easy to troubleshoot, add a guest, set priority, etc. All said, seems like a really nice router, well worth the price compared to other routers available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Died after just 8 months Worked great for 8 months. Now it's dead. B&H only covers 30 days. I was on the phone with lynksys for 90 minutes with a person that barely spoke English that was following a troubleshooting manual that was incomplete. The poortech support person has some incentive or penalty for admitting the router needs to be replaced so it is nearly impossible to convince them to stop troubleshooting and just send a new router. Long story short, i will be buying a new non linksys router because lynksys wants to examine the router before sending me a new one. Hard to be without Internet for weeks when I work from home alot. I am going to find somewhere that has a 1yr or better hassle free return policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Wireless AC Router Easy to set up. Has performed flawlessly. I get 4 out of 5 bars in the far corner of the house where signal was iffy with my old router. It is supporting 3 computers, 2 printers, 2 phones, 2 tablets, and an iPod with no blips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and Easy Installation.... Install went much more smoothly than expected. Connection to my cable modem and to my wired computer (3pc, 2 apple) went without issues. Connection to my three wireless printers required reinstallation of the printer software in order to re-initiate the wireless connect. Wireless range from the Linksys router is exceptionally good (much better than the drink router it replaces), and the speed of the connection to the internet through the cable modem (ISP: Charter) is actually faster (upload and download) than what I was experiencing with the previous drink router.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Find something elses I have a fair sized home system which includes high speed cable, a new 20Mbps 8 lane Cable modem (Arris Motorola SB6141 White) and this wireless EA6900 router. I had looked at reviews for several weeks and it seemed like the best. After 4 months I have finally had it. With 20+ N wireless or 1GB devices (Cameras (11), Laptop (2), Server, Desktop, iPads (2), Smart Phones (2), Taglist alarming, ViewZone, Cisco Entender, 3 TV's wired and wireless, HP wired/wireless printer, 3 Linsys WiFi extenders RE1000 (2) & RE2000 - the AC1900 EA6900 is junk. It has serious overheating (design flaw) and will not EVER list the devices in full. Some listed as gone still running and sending info out of the network. I have had it choke up (No more Smart App access or local http web), reboot spontaneously (heat?) and generally hit or miss any one of these devices - meaning they just will not all list. Linksys support will spend an hour (each of several weekend calls) only to state you need level two, which will never materialize or call back at the appointment times. They will try re-treading your auto tires if they think it MIGHT work. Stay clear of this. I have had to travel to the remote site several times to find 1/2 of the things connected and running and the rest with DHCP failures or other invisible items inaccessible. I have even used a laptop cooler under it. Time to look beyond this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very strong wireless signall and great range Was a little difficult to set up on our system being a secure law enforcement agency and being able to get wireless internet but not have access to our local network but with the use of a switch and not using the WAN port it was accomplished successfully. Great product!!
