Bresser's 8x42 Hunter Specialties Stuff of Legends Binoculars live up to their name by offering a full-featured observation tool that delivers enhanced optical performance and are designed for a long life on the trail. They employ extra-low-dispersion (ED) glass to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration and color-fringing, and the entire optical system is anti-reflection and fully multi-coated with broadband coatings that produce bright and clear images with true color rendition across the entire visible spectrum without distortion, while enhancing their low-light performance. The BAK4 roof prisms have phase-correcting coatings to minimize light loss while enhancing color, contrast, and overall image brightness to further improve its low-light performance. A wide 65° angle of view and moderate 8x magnification, combined with the image-enhancing technologies, translates to an immersive observational experience with high-contrast images and accurate color transmission.
Complementing the performance is a housing that is designed to withstand the rigors of a life lived outdoors. Its chassis is made of a lightweight and corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy that is nitrogen filled and o-ring sealed to be fog and waterproof. To enhance the grip, cut some extra weight, and to give it a firm feel in the hand, the binocular is configured with an open-bridge that allows maximum surface area for your whole hand to grip comfortably, making this an ideal optic for long-duration observation session. The exterior features rubber armoring to protect the binocular against drops and impacts with textured surface to further improve and secure your grip. For long-duration observing sessions, the binocular can be tripod mounted with an optional adapter, or if you plan on glassing on the go, Bresser includes a harness for the binoculars that transfers the weight to your shoulders, which reduces neck strain while providing extra support for a more stabilized grip.
