Be aware of your surroundings in dark environments with the black M300V Mini Scout IR and White LED WeaponLight from SureFire, which provides shooters with a powerful white light of 250 lumens. The M300V can be mounted to a Picatinny rail by tightening its thumbscrew. For use with night vision devices, it also offers 100mW of invisible infrared output. The tailcap has a two-stage activation that twists to alternate between its white LED and infrared LED. The Scout Light also has a momentary and constant-on feature that utilizes a push-button tailcap switch.

The flashlight has a bezel diameter of 1.125" and a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens that creates a pre-focused high-intensity beam for close- to medium-range applications. With one CR123A battery the white LED will run for 1.2 hours, or the infrared LED will run for 5 hours. The Scout's aluminum alloy body is anodized with a Type III hard coat for abrasion and corrosion resistance, and O-ring-sealed for weatherproof and dustproof performance – making this tactical accessory ready for just about any battlefield condition.

Great compact light for an SBR, doesn't take up much precious rail space. Most of all it puts out the right amount of visible and IR light in an enclosed space and is well suited for CQB.

The Surefire M300V is hard to beat when it comes to a compact, durable combination IR/white light, weapon mounted light. At a little under 5oz, it's hardly noticeable at the end of a Carbine or Rifle, and the scout light popularly means a TON of aftermarket mounting options (1913 rail, keymod, m-lok, etc). 250 lumens is ideal for illuminating rooms and hallways but may fall short if doing search/ID at distance. At that point you'd probably want to look into the M600 or the non-IR capable version that clocks in at 500 lumens, but for most applications of a mounted weaponlight the 250 is a sweet spot between good visual identification and getting too much light glare/splash on white walls. This new package from surefire doesn't come with the wired remote end cap and tape switch, only the push button end cap, which is my preferred method of activating the light anyway, but if your running a dual switch with an IR laser, you will have to buy the remote plug end cap. All in all, the reduced cost make this a hard to beat package for a weapon mounted light.

Is this a brand new in the box light? Does it come with the pic mount?

yes new in box, BH Photo is a very reputable retailer with a very clear return policy. The mount is attached to the frame of the light. They also have a scout light that uses AA. That is good too
