The BEM-4 BrightEye Mitto Pro 2 is a scan converter from Ensemble Designs that converts DVI video input into SDI and HD-SDI formats, while also allowing the user to select which part of the screen to output. VGA and HDMI input are also supported, but require the use of additional adapters; this unit comes with two VGA to DVI adapters. Analog audio input is supported via a 3.5mm socket, and audio output can be embedded onto the SDI outputs.
The BEM-4, in conjunction with the included BrightEye Software for Mac and Windows, allows computer video to be used for the most demanding applications including broadcast, high-end military, medical, classroom, church, and corporate events. Even a small part of the screen, such as a Skype window, can be selected with a mouse and converted to full screen HD. Resize the selection window by clicking and dragging with your mouse. From your desktop, you have intuitive control over video and audio parameters. The BEM-4 provides the functionality and control to operate as a router or switcher.
