DJI CP.PT.000308 Overview

Built from the ground up for aerial filmmaking and photography, the Phantom 3 4K from DJI features an integrated 12MP camera attached to a 3-axis gimbal. Apart from 12MP JPEG or RAW photos, the camera can record cinema-spec DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 24 fps and UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 30 fps. With the included flight battery, the quadcopter can fly for up to 25 minutes, depending on conditions.

A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi link with range extender allows you to use the venerable DJI Go app for live HD monitoring and camera control. Additionally, you can access intelligent flight control features tailored to needs of the filmmaker, including Follow Me, Course Lock, Home Lock, and waypoint navigation. The Wi-Fi extender as well as the included handheld controller (transmitter) feature a line-of-sight range of up to 3937'.

Integrated 4K Camera
Up to 4K Video and 12MP Stills
The included camera system features video recording at up to 4K30 (4096 x 2160) in H.264 and also takes JPEG and DNG RAW photos at 12MP. The camera mounts via a 3-axis gimbal that provides stabilization as well as a -90 to +30° controllable pitch (tilt) range. Media is recorded internally to a microSD card up to 64GB in size
Video Resolutions and Frame Rates
DCI 4K (4096 x 2160): 24, 25 fps
UHD 4K (3840 x 2160):24, 25, 30 fps
1080p (1920 x 1080): 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60 fps
720p (1280 x 720): 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60 fps
94° Wide Angle Lens
The camera features a 94° angle-of-view lens, which is a narrower angle than a fisheye for less distortion while still being wide enough to enable capturing establishing shots. The lens features an f/2.8 aperture and is comprised of 9 elements, including an aspherical element
Wi-Fi Downlink
App-Based Monitoring and Control
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi extender built into the controller extends the Wi-Fi range up to 3900' line-of-sight. Via the link, you can use a mobile device to view a live, 720p HD image from the camera, control video and photo recording, and access settings not available through the controller (transmitter). A mount is included to attach a smartphone or table to the controller
DJI Go App
Use the DJI Go app for iOS and Android to remotely operate the Phantom 3 4K camera and view a live, HD video feed
Flight Control Modes
Follow Me
Program your Phantom 3 4K to act as your own personal, flying film crew
Course Lock
By activating Course Lock, the controls will be set to be relative to your aircraft's current path. This mode allows you to fly in a set direction while tracking alongside moving objects or across scenes
Waypoints
With this autopilot mode, apply pushpins to a map to create "waypoints" that define the Phantom 3 4K's course Altitude, speed, and heading can all change at each waypoint
Home Lock
With this orientation mode, fix your controls to be relative to the Home Point. Easily pull back on the control stick to bring the aircraft back home, or push forward to fly farther away, no matter which way the "nose" is pointing
Point of Interest (POI)
Select a location or object to focus on, and the Phantom 3 4K will continuously circle it, no matter how you fly. This is similar to "orbit mode" found in other flight control systems
Additional Features
Intelligent Flight Battery
The flight battery slots into the "tail" of the Phantom 3 and features and on/off switch plus four LED charge indicators that are visible while flying – so you can keep track of remaining flight time without needing to consult the app. For recharging, balance and power regulation is handled internally within the battery itself. You simply plug it into a wall outlet with the supplied power cord and you are good to go

Asked by: Biyun
The P34K does not connect to your smart device via USB cable like the P3A or P3P. You'll connect to the device via WIFI. There is a microUSB on the remote, but it currently has no use.
