Sporting large objectives, a powerful magnification, extra low-dispersion glass, and their proprietary Xtended Twilight (XT) Lens System, the Leupold 12x50 BX-3 Mojave Pro Guide HD Binocular, in Kryptek Typhon camo, delivers bright high-contrast images with true-to-life color and crisp clarity even when observing at long distances. Image quality is enhanced through the use of phase-corrected coatings on the prisms; and lenses are made of lead-free high-transmittance calcium fluoride glass, which by their nature, limit reflection and increase color fidelity and contrast. The XT system complements the glass through the use of index-matched lens coatings that were specifically engineered for the calcium-fluoride lenses to raise the already high transmittance across the entire visible spectrum — with special emphasis on the blue and violet wavelengths that are most prevalent in low-light, such as at dawn and dusk and under heavily-canopied forests. Its large 50mm objectives gather generous amounts of light to further boost performance in less-than-ideal conditions.
Designed to stand up to a life outdoors, the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them water and fogproof, even when moving through extreme temperature variations. The chassis is made from an aluminum alloy to make it lightweight and corrosion-resistant. And to further cut weight, providing users with more area to grip, Leupold employs an open-bridge configuration with a dual-hinge. Its oversized, knurled center focusing wheel allows for sharp focusing even while wearing gloves; and for long-duration glassing sessions, or to reduce fatigue and visible hand-shake that are common with high-magnifications and large objectives, the Mojave can be mounted on a tripod or other support systems using an optional adapter.

Extra-low dispersion High Definition (HD) lenses improve image clarity, contrast, and color
Phase-corrected prisms reduce internal light loss
Lead-free broad-band high-transmittance calcium-fluoride glass lens elements produce bright and clear images with accurate color rendition and improved contrast
Fully multi-coated optics further improve light transmission, image brightness, color, clarity, and contrast
Xtended Twilight Lens System employs index-matched multi-coatings that complement the optical glass to ensure maximum light transmission across the entire visual spectrum - especially the upper blue/violet range to enhance low-light vision
