QBiC Panorama X Panoramic VR Camera System
The QBiC Panorama X from Elmo is a camera system that features four individual QBiC MS-1 XP cameras and a specially designed rig to capture 180° vertical and 360° horizontal panoramic video. Each camera supports 1080p video recording at up to 60 fps as well as 5MP photo capture and is equipped with an ultra wide lens with a 185° diagonal angle of view, which makes capturing 360° panoramic video possible with only four cameras. And because the cameras don't use dome lens covers like some other 360° options, they are less prone to unsightly reflections or glare. Footage is recorded internally within each camera to microSD cards up to 64GB, with simultaneous record triggering of all four cameras possible using the QBiC app for iOS and Android devices. The resulting footage is then stitched together using a separately available third-party editing software.

Synchronization is the first step in the stitching process, and VideoStitch Studio offers efficient audio-based, motion-based, flash-based, and A/V synchronization. One of the most useful VideoStitch features is the ability to change synchronization on the fly and instantly review the result. When you change one of the offset values, VideoStitch instantly updates the output preview, and values can be changed while the video is playing.
VideoStitch Studio features two kinds of calibration algorithms to help you create a panoramic video — geometric and photometric calibration. Geometric calibration looks for control points in your input videos and attempts to match them, after which your images merge together, and photometric calibration will compute your cameras' response curves and vignetting in order to improve the output quality. And for times when you want to edit the automatic calibrations, such as when your scene doesn't have enough details or has many close objects, you can apply manual calibration via optional PTGui and Hugin software solutions.
Note: VideoStitch Studio can normally be activated a maximum of two times per license. If, for example, you upgrade your operating system and reinstall VideoStitch Studio, the reinstallation will count as a second activation.
