Take to the skies with the FREEFLY Alta Drone Aerial Imaging Kit from B&H. This kit is comprised of the Alta hexa-rotor drone, the MoVI M5 three-axis gimbal stabilizer, and the MIMIC gimbal controller, and it forms the foundation of your professional aerial imaging system. Users need only to supply the drone controller and camera of their choice to complete the rig.
The Alta's maximum payload of 15 lb enables it to carry DSLR and mirrorless cameras as well as some smaller cinema cameras. Its intelligent flight control system lets you execute complex maneuvers, hold position in midair, auto-land, and more. For extra flexibility, a camera gimbal may be mounted on the top or bottom of the drone.
The MoVI M5 gimbal controls cameras up to 5 lb with a series of three motors and inertial measurement unit, minimizing image blur and shake caused by vibrations and hand movements. This system can be used solo or with two operators – one controlling the Alta and the other controlling the MoVI via the MIMIC controller. The MIMIC exchanges your controller's gimbal joystick for an intuitive dual-hand system that replicates direct control of the gimbal when paired with a mounted monitor.
FREEFLY ALTA 6 UAS for Aerial Cinematography
ALTA 6 from Freefly is a hexa-rotor drone for aerial imaging that – when used in conjunction with a separately available MoVI gimbal – supports mounting the camera either below or above the airframe. This configuration flexibility makes shooting from virtually any angle possible, even with the camera pointed up. ALTA features a maximum payload of 15 lb, and is therefore suitable for DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and even compact cinema cameras (depending on lens weight and other variables). Equipped with Freefly's own flight control system, ALTA works with a range of transmitters, including many Futaba, Spektrum, and radios (see specifications for specific requirements). Flight modes provided include Manual, Height Hold, Climb Rate Control (Vario), Position Hold, Ground Speed Control, Return-To-Home, and Auto-land. For monitoring and first-person view, the flight controller works with FPV systems from Skyzone, BOSCAM, Immersion RC, and Fatshark. OSD display is user-configurable, and telemetry can data can also be displayed on compatible Futaba transmitters.
The ALTA includes a hard transit case. Additional item essential to get started include flight batteries and a charger, a transmitter (radio controller), and of course a MoVI gimbal and camera.

FREEFLY MoVI M5 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer with Travel Case
The MoVI M5 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer with Travel Case from Freefly is exclusively available as part of the MoVI M5 Adventure Edition bundle and includes the MoVI M5 hand-held stabilizer and a Pelican hard case with a custom-cut foam interior designed to fit the stabilizer and the components of the Adventure Kit.
Supporting loads up to 5 lb, the MoVI M5 provides camera stabilization using three motors and an IMU (inertial measurement unit) to detect and counteract unwanted movement along three axes: pan, tilt, and roll. In particular, compensating for handshake or vehicle-induced vibration and reducing translation. The included quick release system consists of one female Toad in the Hole Quick Release Adapter for the MoVI and a Male Toad Adapter to be attached to your support device. A second Male Toad Adapter is also included in this kit.
The system supports single- or dual-operator control. In single user (Majestic) mode, the system's software intelligently differentiates unwanted shake or vibration from intentional movement, such as panning, while keeping the horizon level. Alternatively, you can have a dedicated operator using an optional remote controller/transmitter who is in charge of camera pan, tilt, and roll. In this configuration the camera will always point where the operator of the transmitter tells it to, independent of how the rig operator moves.
As with sled-style stabilizers, the camera should be balanced on the MoVI to ensure best performance. Once balanced, the MoVI will need to be linked via Bluetooth to an Android mobile device or a computer or tablet running Windows to finalize the configuration process.
Two lithium-polymer batteries and a charger are included, as well as a top handle for low-angle shooting or transporting the assembled rig on set. The MoVI M5 and its included accessories can be safely stored and transported inside the included Travel Case, which features a Pelican-made hard-shell exterior and custom-cut foam interior.
For DSLRs such as the Canon EOS-5D Mark III, Nikon D800, and Panasonic GH4 as well as select compact cinema cameras weighting up to 5 pounds total, including the lens. Large DSLRs such as the Canon EOS-1DC will not fit and typically exceed the specified weight limit
For single-operator use. In this mode the gimbal provides stabilization without counteracting operator-directed camera movements--the camera goes where you point the handles. This mode is ideal for accurate framing in tight situations

FREEFLY MIMIC Beta
Designed to replace a joystick when operating MoVI gimbals, FREEFLY's MIMIC Beta allows you to intuitively control your MoVI by simply moving the MIMIC. It works similar to a flight simulation system. When you want to move your MoVI left, just pan the MIMIC left. When you want to move up/down, tilt the MIMIC up or down. To roll, just steer left or right. Moreover, attach a monitor and feel very much in sync with the system, as your body follows your eyes instinctively.
The MIMIC is compatible with the M5, M10, and M15 MoVI gimbals. Included with it are a transmitter, receiver, monitor mount, and a small USB battery.
