this is a OEM replacement part for the D%. Works exactly like it should.
It is what it is a replacement eyepiece adapter. It functions well, just be forewarned that actual eyepiece does not come with it. It is just the adapter
The Nikon DR-5 right angle viewfinder is an annoyingly fiddly thing to attache to the viewfinder, so it is nice to have an extra eyepiece adapter which easily detaches from the camera using the two push in buttons on the bottom sides of the adapter, so I can leave the DR-5 permanently attached to one DK-27 for when I want to use the right angle viewfinder. PS: Nikon - how the HECK do you unscrew a stuck glass piece that you look through. I can unscrew other ones from some of my DK-27, so I know how to do it, but one is STUCK stuck stuck!
Requires the DK-17 or Dk-17F to be purchased separately. But now if you mess up the threads with a right angle viewer you can replace the adapter and not the body :)
