The Studio Elite 4000 Series XLR M to XLR F 20' Microphone Cable Kit from B&H provides eight studio-quality cables for connecting mics to mixers, preamps, audio interfaces and recorders, or can be used in any other application where XLR connectivity is required.

This B&H kit's cables are made from 24 AWG OFC copper wire and wrapped with PE insulation, and have a conductive PVC inner shield. The cables provide a high level of connectivity and use Neutrik XX silver connectors. All the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for better protection.

98% braided shield offers protection from EMI and RFI noise.
Twin-conductive PVC inner shielding provides 100% coverage of the core conductor. It helps keep the cable's signal from radiating and affecting nearby cables, and also helps prevent external EMI from penetrating to the cable's core.
24 AWG oxygen-free stranded copper inner core provides the best possible conductivity.
Cotton yarn reduces electrostatic and microphonic noise.
All solder points shrink-wrapped for protection.
Neutrik XX silver connectors offer high conductivity.
Cast zinc shell and chuck style strain relief.

The pliable part is important for keeping my noise floor down. Everything counts for ACX standards... transmitted vibration..

I was so happy with my first one that I keep coming back to the Kopul Studio brand. Works great in all my signal chains with pro level microphones.

Provides excellent, clear, low noise signal. I use this on my Sennheiser MKH50 and Zoom F8n and I am getting excellent results. No complaints.

I probably got a cable that's too long, but in case I need to move the speakers further out I know the length is there.

Great for what I needed

I needed a cable to go from my shotgun mic on a Sony -FX3 into thew xlr port and this does the job. I really like the right angle connection to cut down on space. This cable is just long enough to reach from the mic to the FX3 top handle. Being a coiled cable cuts down on cable management. Measure the length you need to make sure your getting the right one. No problems so far with this cable. Seems like good build quality.

Can one side of the cable plug into the Zoom H4 and the other side into the rode ntg 2?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Kopul Studio Elite 4000 cables would be the correct cable used to connect a shotgun mic such as the Rode NTG-2 to the input on the Zoom H4n recorder.

question

Is this really a quality cable? It's spec sheet is well written but I have some pretty serious doubts considering the price points are dramatically below most reputable brands. It's considerably cheaper than guitar center's livewire brand, which I would not consider to be a top quality product. Kopul's own website only offers a 1 year warranty.... Thoughts? Can anyone with longterm experience with this product attest to it's durability and reliable clean sound?

No. The power for the mics comes from the camera on phantom power or the mic if it is wired up or a wireless/battery mic.
