Ibanez SR805 overview

  • 1Description

The SR Series Workshop SRSC805 Bass from Ibanez is a 5-string electric bass guitar featuring a SRSC5 5-piece maple/purpleheart neck, a poplar burl top / mahogany wing body, and a natural flat finish. The deep cutaway body allows for unencumbered access to the upper regions of the fingerboard. The SRSC5 neck-through design offers a slightly smaller extended upper horn connects with the neck between the 24th and 13th frets, providing unmatched stability and noticeably increased sustain. The back of the neck is sculpted for comfort and provides a smooth, graceful contour allowing the palm to travel quickly and easily up the neck to the underside of the instrument's body.

The Bartolini MK-1 pickups provide a wide frequency range with enhanced bottom end and an articulate midrange without being harsh. Other features include the Mono-rail V bridge, a custom active 3-band EQ with bypass, and dedicated volume and balance controls. Additional controls provided include treble, mid, and bass boost/cut, as well as a 3-way mid frequency selector switch (250, 450, and 700 Hz) and an EQ bypass switch, which allows the treble knob to function as a passive tone control. The SRSC805 also includes matte black hardware.

Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ
  • The custom 3-band EQ with an EQ bypass switch and mid frequency switch provides precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypasses activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit
Mono-Rail V Bridge
  • The Mono-rail V is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference
Bartolini MK-1 Pickups
  • The MK-1 pickups are a split coil design that provides a very wide frequency range and enhanced definition for maximum accuracy. The Neck and bridge pickups have equal response, like traditional single coils, but without the hum and noise
