Hi all, I am looking to use this drive as an external work horse for my desktop. So I can store current projects and edit right off the drive. Has anyone used this 24/7 all the time ? And used it as a dedicated drive for editing ?

It's a documented procedure to boot a Mac from external SSD. Not sure about Windows.

question

Do you need to select amounts of storage at setup time for MAC and Windows separately? In other words do you have to dedicate an amount before you know what you will ever need for both? I had to do that on my LaCie and now have 200GB's slated for Windows I don't need and could have used for my MAC.
